San Diego, California : GasLamp District San Diego is the center of San Diego nightlife. It's between Broadway and Harbor and between 4th and 6th Ave and you'll find a LOT of great bars, live music, restaurants, clubs, lounges and events. For Sushi hit Taka on 5th Ave and then head to Tipsy Crow between F&G streets to dance all night to great music (everything from 90's hip hop to top 40 and even some cool flip tracks). Any given night there will be live music so you might just head in when you hear your flavor. There are several hotels downtown but if you want a cool timeless hotel with old-school charm but new appointments, you'll love the US Grant. And don't forget to hit the beaches to get your tan on!!

Mission Beach San Diego is close to downtown and is usually pretty busy. Belmont Park is a mini amusement park that's hit-or-miss depending on the day (some days there are a lot of 20 somethings and teens), but we love the rides- I suggest you hit the Giant Dipper (sit in the last seat!). The sun, the boardwalk, surfing, paddle boarding and shirtless guys make for a fun day. Then it's time to hit gaslamp :)

Gaslamp District- San Diego, California : Bless you, La Puerta Carne Asada Fries and Margaritas, for having a kitchen that closes at 1am, for your AMAZING carne asada fries, and for your non-judgment of this group of random girls who walked through your doors in the middle of the night searching for food. The music was sort of blue, techno-hip-hop but really cool. The crowd was all 30 somethings having a good time and several guys gave up their table for us to sit (thanks Greg, Mark and whoever else)

Coronado (San Diego), California : Hotel Coronado San Diego is one of the most beautiful resorts / beaches in the world! The spa was fabulous and the staff is incredibly friendly. We looked at the live-cam and booked out trip (http://hoteldel.com/live-webcam/). They accommodated four rooms side by side so our group could all be together and the rooms were just divine! Soft pillows and sheets and my room looked like it had never been stayed in before (So clean). Lovely resort, great memories

Manhattan, New York, NY, United States : There's so much to see and do at American Museum of Natural History NYC. I went to 4 of the special exhibits AND watched the movie that was playing in the planetarium. It was my first time in the planetarium, but it was definitely cool. It was a moving about dark matter, which was ok. I would've preferred something about the constellations. I guess I'll just have to go back. The exhibits I saw: Butterfly Conservatory - if you've ever been in a butterfly house, this is what it is The Power of Poison - learn about natural and manufactured poisons Frogs: A Chorus of Colors - frogs...so many awesome frogs Whales: Giants of the Deep - they're sooo big I definitely want to go back before the season is over to check out the IMAX movie about Penguins and to check out Zuni world. I also need to hang out with the dinosaurs a big more...I love me some dinos.

Manhattan, New York, NY, United States : I recently visited The Strand and was really impressed with the level of customer service. Even before I arrived, the concierge helped me with restaurant options and detailed directions on getting around the city. Mike, at the front desk, accommodated my request for early check-in and late check-out without charging extra, as most hotels do. The Strand Hotel is swanky, charming, clean and in the perfect location - close to the Fashion District and Times Square. The rooftop bar, Top of the Strand, has an amazing view of the city and a retractable glass roof and it's open 7 days/week until midnight. The bistro is great. There is a full breakfast menu, highlighted by specialty omelettes, made-to-order waffles and healthy fresh fruit, yogurt and cereal dishes.

Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas, NV, United States : Las Vegas, Nevada I am in love with this hotel =) The Venetian Palazzo is definitely the BEST that you will get. You cannot beat the size of the suites and the location. Exceptional rooms in size and amenities. The standard suites are equipped with comfortable beds, clean, upgraded with timeless decor. There are TV's in every room literally, including the bathroom. I appreciated the bathroom suite with a ton of mirrors, vanity area, a TV etc. I had to come here for work and stayed for the week, but if I was to come on a personal trip, you can definitely share a room with friends - the suites are huge! I would totally recommend using the Canyon Ranch Spa within the Venetian which connects to the Palazzo - solid 5 stars. Review to come. From the room service, convenience, cleanliness, the list can go on - definite 5 stars. One last note, this casino actually pays out which is an added plus :

Virginia Beach, VA, United States : Along the Viginia Beach coast you'll find the Belvedere Beach Resort, an older, but well maintained, hotel located right on the beach. The rooms are decorated nicely and have great views of the ocean- they feel beachy. The staff are the friendliest you'll find anywhere! They will go out of their way to get to know you and help with anything they possibly can. Room service is fast and not as outrageously priced as many. They even give you free bike rentals so you can see the area and all of its beauty. It is surrounded by other, taller hotels, but the Belvedere just has a cool charm about it. You can tell that the owners care about the area and encourage others to love it also.
