A visit to St Simon Island was more than a Georgian history lesson, it was more like a journey. During low tide the aqua babies in the group set out to catch a glimpse of dolphins at The Marina. Our military gang headed to the Maritime Center at Historic Coast Guard Station for a crash course in coast guard history and check out the view from the observation tower. Of course, the fishing fanatics pulled out poles for fishing at the Fishing Pier. The water was so clear you can see your catch before it snags the line. The Gazebo and a tall glass of peach tea was enough for me.
