New Orleans, LA, United States : We had an extraordinary time in New Orleans, including a perfect vacation rental Historic Bywater Vacation Homes. Located in an extraordinary neighborhood close enough to all the fun, busy tourist spots, yet far enough away from the downside of most large cities. House decorations are quirky, but tasteful. The place has a private fenced in backyard, well kempt appliances that seemed brand new and all the comforts of home. Pricing is great for a group.
Best. Biscuits. Ever. (if you have an hour and a half to wait on the weekends.) Loveless Café has awesome southern cookin’. Order the biscuit sampler and the southern sampler so y’all can try it all. And a side of fried okra. This is a cute ma and pa type restaurant that has become famous for its amazing made-from-scratch southern food. On a side note, Loveless is apparently the original owners’ last name. It has nothing to do with lonely, broken hearts.
Asheville, North Carolina, United States : A trip to Biltmore Estate Winery, North Carolina found me wishing my sisters were with me as my tastebuds explored every wine imaginable. A tour and wine tasting is around $50, but bring along a pair of comfortable shoes for the 250 room tour, if you’re up for the challenge. The estate used to be a dairy barn but transformed into a luxury winery and vineyard with a huge, lush colorful garden. I could sit within the petals all day sipping glass after glass of vino. But I didn’t fill up on wine because delectable nibbles were prepared for dinner service. The drive to the estate is kind of lengthy, however transport buses are available at specific locations for pickup. Some hotels offer the tour as part of their package especially for groups.
A girlfriend booked this Mint Julep Tours as part of a Bachelorette Party. We had a great time and toured Woodford Reserve, Four Roses and Buffalo trace. Our guide was awesome and the tastings were lots of fun. You can do the Bourbon Trail without a tour company but it was nice to have a driver!
Las Vegas, NV, United States : I was DYING to see these guys after I watched them on ABDC a few years back. I didn't even know they were playing in Vegas when we went but once I found out we got tickets right away! If you love entertainment, you must see Jabbawockeez guys. They have awesome dance moves and unbelievable stage personalities. Me and my friends had an awesome time and the crowd was really into it, too.
Las Vegas, NV, United States : The pool at the Flamingo Hotel is one-of-a-kind. You can swim, and swim around real flamingos! And water slides! There is a memorial for Bugsy Segal (the mobster who made Vegas into the gambling, partying, hotspot it has become). If you want something a little more 'adult', head to the GO pool where you can enjoy drinks, a DJ, and party in poolside cabanas. We came here one day and stayed the whole time-swimming and taking drink breaks in between.
Capitol Hill, Seattle : The owners of Vino Verite Seattle, Haj and Dave are a god-send to the Capitol Hill neighborhood. With free wine tasting from 6-8 every Thursday [and a bottle open every day to stop by and taste], I have been unbelievably impressed with the following:
1. I always go girlfriends, and every.single.time we go, we are remembered by name. My gfriend is an artist, and Haj is especially supportive and interested in the local art scene, encouraging my friend to get her website published and wanting to see her work! Now that's what I call local.
2. They are incredibly supportive and encouraging about wine education - with zero pretension
3. I get a personal email every week describing what will be served at the upcoming tasting..
4. 4. Ridiculous selection of wine - and many that I can actually buy with prices ranging from $8-...well, a lot.
Go to the tastings - but back away from the counter-left. That's my spot :)
San Martin, CA, United States : Stunning place! Words cannot describe how beautifully designed the scenery is at this golf course resort CordeValle San Martin. Beyond doubt, our week was amazing and there felt like we were staying in the Garden of Eden. Small, quiet, amazing spa, all of the amenities you could want. Complimentary cookies, fruit, and water are given there. You can tremendously relax with some amazing hikes. Being at the pool felt like being at a resort in Hawaii. There is a lovely hike through the hills with gorgeous vistas (a little strenuous at noon, bring water!).
We had a super-relaxed, quiet, lovely weekend. I couldn't stop raving over how beautiful it was. With one night being the equivalent of a month of therapy, I'd say it's a good trade!
Very attentive staff and friendly service! The resort is gorgeous - perfect in every way. Our bungalow suite was amazing. I’ve stayed in quite a few upscale hotels and I have to say the bed and linens they have here made me feel like royalty.
Portland, OR, United States : To start definitely make reservations, Ave Genes is so good even on a Monday it is very busy. Probably because of all the media attention and "top Ten" lists it has been on.
When arrived we were seated promptly and offered still or sparkling water complimentary. I picked the sparkling, which was a nice touch.
The beet salad was delicious, I loved the hazelnuts on it.
For the main entree I had the cavetelli (probably spelled wrong) which was a freshly made pasta in the shape of a small penne noodle. I ate almost the whole it was so good before I remembered to take a picture.
The server was very helpful at helping me decipher the menu, main course and the wine list. You will understand when you try this place.
This is a must try place in Portland, I want seconds please.
Margaritaville, Las Vegas NV, USA : I went here last year for Cinco De Mayo and I have got to say, it was an absolute blast. Margaritaville is a must if you are in Vegas wanting great drinks and a good time. When I arrived at Margaritaville I didn’t realize what a big deal it was but now that I have been I can see why. Our bartender, Billy, was able to bring out the party in all of us girls. It is an awesome atmosphere, and everyone hanging out here were obviously having a good time too. The bartender, Billy, recommended we have FYRCHOS ,which was a great experience in and of itself. Overall, it was great, they were able to accommodate my large party without a problem and the vibe in there was just what we were looking for. Don’t go to Vegas without coming here!
Los Angeles, CA, USA : Supperclub totally chic and awesome club not only is a popular party place, but its also a great place to get dinner; hence the name! Even if you didn’t want dinner and just wanted to club, its still an amazing place and one of my top suggested places to my friends. It is also a good place for large groups of people so do not be afraid to rent out a party bus and come here! There is a discotech app to download to get on the guest list free for entry before 11! This is the best party place out there!
Washington, DC, United States : Restaurant CityZen Washington DC accomplished an impressive achievement that seems to beguile many well-hyped DC top trip restaurants in not only living up to the hype, but beyond expectations.
The management of this restaurant is highly appreciable. We entered the restaurant at the end of the evening. We could see the entire staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and on top of things.
We were seated near the dazzling open kitchen and in what is often a rarity for big name restaurants, and we were pleasantly surprised to see that Chef Ziebold was in the kitchen, managing the whole operation.
After onoy a few minutes our waiter took our order and we were served in less than 20 minutes, which seemed to be incredibly fast for how busy they were. I have tried many restaurants but this is among my favorites.
Highlights of the evening included delicious lamb carbonara, chilled Maine lobster salad, and my favorite, soft shell crab. We also enjoyed the wines that were served and the addictive parker house rolls.
Napa, CA, United States : Calistoga Ranch Napa Valley I couldn't find the words, I mean there are only so many ways you can call something incredible or perfect or mind blowing amazing, the Calistoga Ranch experience being all of these things. From check in to check out every person I met at the resort delivered five star services that was genuine, attentive and unobtrusive.
After being offered a glass of wine while checking in, I was shuttled via golf cart to my room, which was actually a private twin room cabin style lodging that is a definition of glamping. Casual but elegant and tucked away into a quiet solitude of nature my room had an L-shaped deck with a private hot tub to the left and an outdoor living area to the right, complete an indoor/ outdoor fireplace and dining area if you prefer eating outside. Walking into the double doors on the left took me into the bedroom and bathroom, where I discovered the first surprise an outdoor rainfall shower.
Wow! That was an excellent experience.
Austell, GA, United States : I wish I didn't dare this ride to drop me down into the belly of fear. My own belly did a number of twists and turns as someone screamed in terror; oh that was me. The curiosity to test out Dare Devil Dive ride caused my brain to freeze and avoid the reminder of how much I feared death. Well worth every tear I shed. Loops, plummets and a rush into a "ring of fire"; very intense at go. Eventually, it slowed down enough for my heart to climb out of my shoes. I recommend it for thrill seekers, but this chicken will just watch from below.
Portland, OR, United States : I came upon Flora by accident while strolling one day. I walked in and was greeted by the very sweet owner who was not only kind and helpful, but truly a joy to talk to. She made me a sample of their Plum Oolong tea, which is delectable (and I'm almost out of it). And they have an assortment of fine items- unique cards, the best ever hand-poured candles from Tatine; one-of-a-kind art and furniture pieces. And miraculously soft cotton blankets and amazing teas (by the ounce) and chocolates.. Along with the tons of very beautiful and unique items they carry, they also make their own perfume oils. I am often bothered by the smell of some perfumes, some even gives me migraines. But these are quality oils, not the cheap alcohol and chemical-based perfumes you find at department stores. These are special, and they smell like heaven. It's always such a pleasure to support local businesses, even more so when they're as special and wonderful as this one. I couldn't recommend this shop more!
New Orleans, LA, United States : For a place to hear great, live indie music Frenchmen Street is THE place to check out. Sorry, Bourbon St. Extraordinary spot for visitors and locals to party and sway into the night breeze. Lots of bars, but a more mature crowd. There was even a little outdoor market with handmade soaps that smelled incredible. If you want to go inside, the music still plays on; no cover at the bars with live music at every location. This is my kind of party.
Newport Beach, CA, United States : My favorite Dive! Strong drinks. I mean STRONG!! Be sure to cab it. Some people don't make it home even on their bikes! Marty, Caleb and Gino are the best bartenders in town. And those Tastie Burgers! Yes, they make burgers there...Mmm Mmm Good! There is a photo booth that spit out two sets so you can keep one and give one to a friend or hang it on the wall (I have a couple on the wall).
Cassidys Newport Beach is right on Newport Blvd and two blocks from the beach.
The restrooms are horrible, but everything else about this place is perfect!
p.s. They have hooks under the bar for your purse. I give them a sixth star for that!
Las Vegas, NV, United States : This VIP Club Crawl was awesome. For around $80, me and my friends were taken in a party bus to at least three clubs (Can't really remember), where we could get on, get off, and all our cover charges were pre-paid. We didn't have to wait in any lines either. We got some drink deals when we started and all the clubs they took us too were awesome! You have to do it-and you can do it more than once too on your visit because apparently they change the club line up every night-so you'll never go to the same places.
The Robertson, West Hollywood CA, USA : The Robertson is one of the coolest multi-level, multi-room club in West Hollywood that I’ve been to! The tables for bottle service are right outside in the patio when you walk in and the main dance floor is right upstairs. Behind that is the second dance floor that has a much more intimate setting with more tables for bottle service. Underneath the main floor is the third and final dance floor which is my favorite because not only is there couches and a bar, its also glow in the dark with cool art that also glows! I really love this place
Hotel Café, Los Angeles CA, USA : I have seen many artists at Hotel Café and I love this place! It is a hole-in-the-wall venue in Hollywood, but the artists featured here have never let me down! They have great drinks at reasonable prices, cheap cover charges, and an intimate setting with great décor. However, since it is an intimate setting, I suggest you come when the doors open because they have few tables and you might not be able to get a seat. Even if you can’t get a seat it is pretty much a general admission place and sometimes that is great because you just want to move with the music.
This spa is amazing. We reserved a package here for the bridal party. Amazing! We each received the Essentials Day Spa Boulder "Stress Buster Package" which included a full body massage and aromatherapy hydro tub. We had a lot of fun and felt extremely pampered by the staff. We were all ready to face the big day!
Sedona, AZ, United States : Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village Sedona is a Mexican style shopping village full of fantastic shops, bars and art galleries. The shops feature items from local artisans and there is something for everyone here! Unique gifts and beautiful works of art abound. The atmosphere is quaint and beautiful. A visit makes for an excellent day out.
Hawaii, United States : Ala Moana Center is one of the famous mall, conveniently located near the hotel row along the Ala Moana, It’s an outdoor identical indoor mall. Here you find brand store as well as local stores. The Mall has a larger departmental stores also. I really enjoyed the food court! It has a lot of food variety to fulfill your appetizer.
Free Wi-Fi also available for those who join their email weekly letters! I didn't mind subscribing to email as it updated me with upcoming shows and events for center stage and family fun activities. But the bummer part of their Wi-Fi is it works only on the 3rd floor. I like that it’s outdoor scene, because you can enjoy the fantastic Hawaii weather.
Ala Moana Center has gone through many changes, mostly improvement, to becoming what it is today. I remember those days when the mall had stores such as sears, Liberty House, Mclnemy and Carol and Mary's. Woww! Back then, these store were considered our luxury or high ended stores.
Olveria Street, Los Angeles CA, USA : This little block of Mexican culture and history is one of my favorite places to go in Los Angeles for Cinco de Mayo or Dia de Los Muertos. Not only are there amazing authentic restaurants and souvenir shops with things from Mexico, there’s also vibrant history and an adorable church to see. It is such a great place to visit that has true tradition and meaning to it. I believe Olveria Street is one of the oldest streets existing today in the United States short history. So, it is an absolute must see when it comes visiting Los Angeles.
We found the Embassy Suites Hotel Louisville to be a great hotel. The staff is very friendly, the rooms were clean and comfy, and we were pleased with the hotel's amenities (large suites, free hot breakfast, free cocktails, pool). The location is great and is convenient to 3 museums, Churchill Downs and downtown.
Nobu, Malibu CA, USA : We had such an amazing time eating here on Mother’s Day. First, I recommend trying the Omakase. It is the best way to sample all of the best of Nobu, there are two different sizes depending on how much fish you want and both sizes include 8 courses. We went all out here with the large 8 course Omakase and I cannot tell you how much it was enjoyed. My mother had a fantastic time. This is true Japanese dining and recommend to anyone who loves sushi, because Nobu Matsushisa has perfect the art of Peruvian and Japanese Style to create a fantastic dining experience.
21c Museum Hotel Louisville KY is a very unique luxury, boutique hotel and art museum located in the heart of Louisville. Our room was light and airy with a brick wall and tall ceilings. It felt very industrial chic. The museum was beautiful and featured amazing contemporary art works. This is the perfect place for a relaxing, inspiring retreat. Self parking is only $5 per day and valet is $25. We chose the self parking.
Grand Traverse County, MI, United States : We had a truly enjoyable stay. Grand Traverse Resort and Spa was another new and beautiful part of our country for us to visit and we were surprised with the amount of activities (wineries, beach hikes) and historical sites to do, take in, and enjoy as well as a very relaxing stay at the resort, which is well laid out. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean, inviting, and spacious, allowing for conversation. Our room was roomy, comfortable and quiet. We will return to enjoy the area, hotel, and spa!
Myrtle Beach, SC, United States : If you believe there aren't any jewels left in the South, you're mistaken. Myrtle Beach has all the fun of being in a faraway paradise right here in the good old USA. I enjoyed the Dixie Stampede, a Dolly Parton dinner show, and all the wonderful gift shops. I purchased a ton of t-shirts to take back home for a reasonable price; the place is full of apparel vendors. The area's many fine dinning restaurants were always satisfying with excellent service. I'm going back next year! The international airport is only minutes away from a great time.
House of Blues Anaheim, Disneyland Drive, Anaheim, CA, United States : • Yes this is a concert hall. Yes you probably want to rather hear about a club or bar. But guess what, this has an amazing bar inside! Also, they always have really great performers, so if a dance artist plays here, it’s an instant club because it’s so packed! They also have food so it is like an all-in-one type of place! House of Blues Anaheim is also located in the Disneyland shops so before you go here, get some shopping in! In my opinion, it’s like a girls paradise because it’s completely unexpected. I know it caught me by surprise and I absolutely love this place.
La Villita is a very historic and architecturally beautiful area in San Antonio. All of the stores and galleries are locally owned are very artsy. You can find souvenirs, pottery, stained glass, photo galleries and jewelry here and they usually have some kind of activity on the weekends. It’s just a step from the Riverwalk. I would recommend a visit. However, eat before you go as there is not much dining to choose from.
Boston, MA, United States : Boston Library Architectural Tour takes you inside and around one of Boston’s most beautiful buildings. There are marble lions, pretty murals, and a lot of the original architecture is still in tact. It’s a short but informative and interesting tour that takes place once every day. Definitely worth it for history and art buffs. And it’s free so that’s always great.
The High Roller is the worlds largest observation wheel at 550 feet high. The High Roller has 28 spherical, Italian-handcrafted glass-enclosed cabins that hold 40 people in each and there is a bar so you can take drinks with you. Each cabin comes equipped with eight monitor screens playing video and music shows and you can rent them out for private parties or events.
Portland, OR, United States : It was crowded and we had a party of 6 and sat in the beautiful patio. Our server/bartender (Collin?) was great. Some of the drinks took a while, but like I said it was busy so that's understandable.
I would typically order a bloody mary (which others in my party said were fabulous), but another drink caught my eye -- That's my Jam (gin, lemon, marmalade, etc.) -- and it was unreal. One of the most refreshing cocktails I have ever tasted at Veritable Quandary. I need to figure out how to recreate it at home.
Another stand out was their french fries with chipotle aioli. Our party went through three orders that came with our food and another whole plate! I had the VQ burger with a veggie patty substitute which was very good, and I appreciate that they had multiple vegetarian options. My sister had the blackened catfish with poached eggs & hollandaise. She said it was the most beautiful and perfectly cooked poached egg that she had ever tasted.
Dallas, TX, United States : Cafe Izmir is my go-to Mediterranean restaurant in Dallas. Tuesdays and Thursday they have $15 bottles of good quality wine and sangria and discounted tapas. It's a great way to enjoy a delicious dinner and not break the bank.
They have some of the most flavorful hummus you have ever tried (you will probably want to get a couple of orders if you're with a group of 4 or more.) I also love their Ziziki dip- I put it on everything! Their grilled veggies are perfectly seasoned and come with a huge variety: broccoli, mushrooms, onions, zucchini, you name it. My favorite proteins are the beef tenderloin kabob and the grilled shrimp. And they keep the warm pita bread coming. I had dinner last weeks with 12 other girlfriends and we all took advantage of their delicious sangria special. The food here is amazing and the service mirrors that. The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and funny. Marcello is the master bartender and host.
House of Blues on the Sunset Strip, Los Angeles CA, USA : I went here with a bunch of friends to see a friend’s band; we ended up sitting on the balcony because we were there so early. Sitting up there are two options the $50 table, which we were able to afford and the $100 table that is lower to the ground and quite honestly a whole lot more comfortable. The food was good and it was a great place to watch some awesome live music. I am actually here quite often because they only book quality acts. I love music and sound at House of Blues Sunset Strip is perfect. Their audio person deserves a lot of praise, because they have mastered the fine art of live music. I am here all the time!
Charleston, SC, United States : From arrival to departure the Zero George Street Boutique Hotel had us hooked. Located far enough from busy Charleston for a peaceful and tranquil stay, but close enough to get to within minutes; not to mention a request for transportation can be arranged. It’s a beautiful time warp with all the amenities of modern day necessity. Everything was so elegant and formal without the usual stuffiness: drinks on the verandah, a 5pm wine and cheese hour, little treats left nightly and all the charm of a European trip. The staff was incredible, suggesting sights to see and always checking if needs were met. The food was worth giving up dieting rules to enjoy the daily complimentary breakfast. Well worth the cost; warrant for another visit.
Vampire Lounge and Tasting Room, Beverly Hills CA, USA : Vampire Lounge and Tasting Room is such a cozy lounge with really friendly bartenders! They have three levels of drinks vampire, Dracula and one other with each level up increasing in quality. The person I was with agreed with me that the vampire level was great! It is a small place but there are a ton of large mirrors hanging on the wall which makes the place feel much more spacious than it is while keeping the place super cozy and comfortable. I was not sure if I should come here because of the name but they have a lot of award winning wines, so, it was worth it and I do not regret it.

The Getty, Getty Center Drive, Los Angeles, CA, United States : Not only do you need multiple days to see everything here, but everything is so beautiful that you have to take a million pictures! Unfortunately, not all the exhibits allow photography, but the gardens are extremely gorgeous and make for beautiful pictures. There is also a five star restaurant in the Getty that I highly recommend everyone eat at! They also have amazing wines at this restaurant that is paired with every dish and the waiters can also give excellent recommendations. I think this is one of the best museums in town. It is truly a beautiful experience.
Boston, MA, United States : Painted on the street just beside the library you’ll see the Boston Marathon Finish Line and the site of the recent Marathon bombings. The storefronts and street have since been fixed and the area is now a memoriam for those that were lost and injured in the attack. This event is the most significant in the city’s recent history and has brought about an impressive amount of strength and loyalty from its residents. #BostonStrong
Saint Simons Island, GA, United States : A visit to St Simon Island was more than a Georgian history lesson, it was more like a journey. During low tide the aqua babies in the group set out to catch a glimpse of dolphins at The Marina. Our military gang headed to the Maritime Center at Historic Coast Guard Station for a crash course in coast guard history and check out the view from the observation tower. Of course, the fishing fanatics pulled out poles for fishing at the Fishing Pier. The water was so clear you can see your catch before it snags the line. The Gazebo and a tall glass of peach tea was enough for me.
All guests of The Lodge at Pebble Beach Golf Vacation, The Inn at Spanish Bay and Casa Palmero have access to Pebble Beach golf courses. You are required to stay 2 nights (3 during peak season) World Class golf is not the only reason to stay, Pebble Beach is a vacation in itself! There is shopping, dining, wine, golf, and you are right next to Monterey and Carmel, both amazing places with rich culture and a laid back atmospheres. We had a caddie (Dennis) carry our bags ($160 for two bags) and he was very knowledgeable about the course and offered some great tips on my swing. I cannot say enough about Pebble Beach, it is such an amazing vacation. Busy season is summer (May-August) but it's nice all year.
The Roxy Theater, Los Angeles CA, USA : I went here to see my favorite band, The Veronicas, and the experience was great from front to back. First of all The Roxy Theater isn’t always 21+ so all my younger friends could get in, they just mark you with a wristband if you can drink and if not you don’t get a wristband. I actually ended up being able to see the backstage area because the bouncers there are amazing. So I got more of an experience than most people do but with that aside – it is still an incredible place. It is where every superstar has started and it is an iconic must-visit if you are in LA and want to see a show or if you are a local it is still great. I know I had a fantastic time there.
Hollywood Wax Museum, Hollywood CA : I cannot believe that I lived in Los Angeles for so many years without ever visiting the Hollywood Wax Museum. I finally went about 3months ago and it was incredible. I had so much fun walking around and checking out all the different works of art. Most of the wax figures look FREAKISHLY real. It was great. A quick tips are to not buy the pass for access to Ripley’s Guinness and this museum unless you have enough time in the city or day to visit all three. Otherwise go check them all out. They are worth seeing. I just can’t believe I hadn’t been here before!
Santa Barbara, CA, United States : I'm a modern girl who likes camping, but not traditional camping with tents and weird "bathrooms". I prefer the comforts of home with the feel of camping. The Santa Barbara Auto Camp filled my needs easily. For starters, the inside of the trailer was like a cute little apartment with a claw foot tub and shower in the bathroom. Decor includes a flat screen television, WiFi, a mini bar and plants. Adirondack chairs and a grill on the porch compliment the quirky, creative design. Bikes are included in the rental for local sightseeing. A trip to Trader Joe's is right around the corner for restocking the fully functional kitchen. If grilling is out the door there are restaurants nearby with a coffee shop and a bar within walking distance.
Hotel Le Marais is a chic boutique hotel in the heart of the New Orleans French Quarter. Depending on when you go, it is affordable. However, when hotel prices start to increase this one skyrockets quickly. So, book way ahead. The hotel is clean, quiet and centrally located. The pool is beautiful, the bar is great and the continental breakfast is good. No restaurant on site but there are so many great ones nearby.
Boston, MA, United States : The Machine Nightclub in Boston is known as the most popular gay club in Boston. It hosts some really fun themed parties and occasionally has 18+ nights. The Machine sometimes has live dancers and is the go-to after party for all gay pride events in the city. If you just want to dance and not be bothered by guys hitting on you (like we do sometimes), this is a good option.
Plazzo Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas NV, USA : Firstly, the suites are bigger than my first apartment! The Plazzo Hotel Casino has to be my new favorite place to stay when I am in Vegas! The front desk is always well staffed and check-in goes very quickly and smoothly from there, I will spare you my gushing thoughts about the rooms and move onto the actual casino! The Casino here is gorgeous and they have all the best games here. I feel like this could be a lucky place where someone could win obscene amounts of cash. They also have fine dining options, which are a no-brainer. I feel like I could stay here forever and never leave.
Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! Odditorium, Hollywood CA : Ripleys Believe It Or Not Odditorium is located in the heart of Hollywood on the Walk of Fame on Hollywood, Blvd, is home to a ton of curiosities, and brings in a ton of tourists and locals alike. I absolutely loved this place, enjoyed checking out all the oddities, and was not hesitant to take on all the gruesome challenges. There was a real shrunken head, a wall that was awesome because, it captured shadows, and replicas of the most tattooed people on Earth, as well as so many more interesting things to gawk at. I went with adults this time but, next time I am going to bring my younger cousins.
Destiny USA is a quite gigantic mall and abundant of stores and restaurants are present here. We often visit this place just because of the bigger selection. The most amazing area in the mall is the restaurant section. The fresh addition of the most stylish outlets will definitely make this mall even better. In addition to the regular shopping experience, you can also find the unique experiences on the upper levels of the mall because it's even bright and clean.
I've never seen as much extensive Entertainment options. There's a movie theater, laser tag, bowling alleys and an ice bar. Guest Services was one particularly the most positive experience for us. We were with an elderly couple and the employees also provide us guest wheelchairs for them. Their service timing was so pleasant and when we return back the chairs, she was similarly as pleasant.
Destiny can also be considered as houses a Regal Cinema for movies and Wonderworks which is like a themepark/arcade.
Park House Bed and Breakfast Greenville SC is such a beautiful place to stay! We spent a long weekend in Greenville and could not have made a better choice. The owner, Jessica, cooks the most amazing breakfasts. The rooms are perfect and the afternoon wine and cheese is icing on the cake. The property is in a perfect spot close to downtown on a historic street and they will make reservations at a nearby spa if you would like.
Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas, NV, United States : Olives At The Bellagio has this big patio that overlooks the fountains at the Bellagio so every fifteen minutes or so you see a show (and the mist feels divine when it's hot out). They have pineapple martinis that they soak in the pineapple for 30 days and it is so sweet you would never believe it is just vodka and pineapple- they get an A+ for that drink! And the food is really good, I shared the Carpaccio and Mushroom Pappardelle and they were both so good!! But I also tasted four or five other dishes that my friends got and they were all really good. The Carpaccio was perfect for a light meal before going out.
The Social Wine Bar supports small artisanal wine makers who are passionate about what they do. The wine cellar is impressive, the décor is beautiful and the staff was so helpful. The food is awesome as well. You cannot go wrong with this place. It is very trendy so make sure to dress appropriately. It was extremely busy but we were able to find a seat.
We did a Little Havana Food Tour on our way to Key West. We stopped by 5 restaurants spread across 8 blocks. Wonderful opportunity to sample great Cuban inspired foods at Miami Culinary Tours. The guide was fun and very knowledgeable about Cuban culture. We attended this tour for lunch and it took approximately 2 hours. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Niagara Falls is by far the most famous waterfall in North America. Niagara Falls is said to be the largest waterfall by the volume in North America. The falls actually consists of three separate components -
In the month of June, it is considered that water volume was probably either at its highest for the year or close to it. If you visited the falls during the Autumn month of October six years later, then you will observed more mist wafting up from the base of the falls.
Hydroelectricity has been notorious in terms of the environment, and it is especially a nuisance for waterfalling due to deluge, interruption of waterflow, and guarantee damage to the natural surroundings to support hydroelectric infrastructure.
This meant that we could experience the falls in numerous ways but we did feel that each waterfall "expedition" was like an enjoyment park or festival ride where we paid to do a particular experience and then moved on to the next if we were so inclined.
Cuyahoga valley park is completely dazzling! If you are a first time visitor, you should first enjoy the hiking along the ledges or enjoying a picnic in the unique Octagon sanctuary house. Or even at the beautiful Ledges shelter house Here you can enjoy the warmth of fireplace .The park is always clean and the staff are super friendly!
Even the bathrooms are always kept clean! And there's other sections worth exploring as well. They offer a great hill for sledding with a barrel for a fire that anyone can enjoy. There's also a bat cave. And of course, lots of art related projects, guided tours, etc...
The only national park in the Buckeye State is elegant and attractive is only a stone's throw from Cleveland and Akron . Then there's lesser known treasures within the park, such as wineries and farms, as well as the only covered bridge in Summit County.
If you swerve off of the Towpath, you won't be disappointed.
Napa Valley, Napa County, CA, United States : Aubergine Restaurant is what a darling place. This restaurant deserves a drive down to Carmel by the sea just because of this bite. The food is incredible. Much of the ingredients are locally sourced. Flavor shine clearly through the presentation and like a symphony are present in different ways in various movement of the piece. The wine that was served to us was just perfect. It was wonderful night and we would go back again. Best food I have ever had! Had the delicious menu and was puff away! Services was excellent loved the oyster and caviar.
The chef use of seasonal ingredients was spot on, flavor amazing, ambience fantastic, just great establishment all around. The ambiance kind of reminds me of a modern French laundry.
This is cozy small restaurant with an upscale classy decor. I loved the unique artistic, creative and natural distinctness of the menu. I just can’t explain how blown away I was by each dish, that was presented to me.
The sign says “Warm Beer Lousy Food Poor Service”, and people are willing to wait hours for a table at Jacques Imos in New Orleans! The food here is amazing and well worth the wait. You can’t find meals like this anywhere else on Earth. Everything we had was wonderful. I recommend it all! Casual atmosphere, casual dress. Don’t bother to make a reservation unless you have a party of 5 or more.
Boston, MA, United States : A speak-easy themed live jazz club The Beehive has plush seats, delicious food, and some tasty cocktails. It’s located next to the Boston Center for the Arts and attracts theater goers and artists alike. They have recently introduced burlesque nights. It’s simply a great place to lounge after hours if you want to listen to live music, talk, and hang out.
Dallas, TX, United States : Partied at Station 4 Danceclub for the first time a few weeks ago for a bachelorette party and had SO much fun. I don't remember the last time I went out and just lived. I mean really lived, partied, danced and laughed without a care in the world. All insecurities just drifted off with the music. It is so hard not to enjoy yourself here. If you want to get out and dance without the hassles of guys, you'll love S4. I've heard that it's one of the top gay clubs in the country and I would believe it- and it's not entirely a gay crowd, it is actually a pretty decent mix.
The place is gigantic! It can be super packed and you won't feel it, which is great. The music is great and the technology of the place is pretty sweet. Parking pretty much blows, but that's Oak Lawn on Fri/Sat. nights. Cover is usually about $6 for 21+ and I want to say $20 for 18+ -This place is really just fun!
Mission Beach San Diego is close to downtown and is usually pretty busy. Belmont Park is a mini amusement park that's hit-or-miss depending on the day (some days there are a lot of 20 somethings and teens), but we love the rides- I suggest you hit the Giant Dipper (sit in the last seat!). The sun, the boardwalk, surfing, paddle boarding and shirtless guys make for a fun day. Then it's time to hit gaslamp :)
Let's just start by saying the have a chocolate tasting room!!! Wine Country Chocolates is the best chocolate shop! We had a 4 chocolate sampler and everything was to die for! Great staff, chocolate tastings, and atmosphere. And, it is connected to a coffee shop next door. If you are in Sonoma Plaza, this stop is a must!
I often here with my friends and family - we stroll to white sand, spread through the Del and just enjoy being in Coronado.
I love this family friendly and wonderful clean beach. Street parking is free alongside the beach. Plain pedestrian crossings to the steps. The waves are perfect for small kids (less underwater tow compared to La Jolla/Del Mar beaches) and it's got such a lovely happy vibe.
Lifeguards are always circulating and very welcoming. During the week I will bring that children, I look after and they constantly stopped to say hello. The view is amazing and you have the historic Hotel Del right on the beach. The waves are perfect for kids to learn to buggie board.
Coronado California beach is my favorite place in San Diego. It is perfect for fat women with insecurities, like me. Everyone around minds their own business and nobody come here to show off their steroid and cholesterol burning pill produced bodies.
Boston, MA, United States : This Huntington Theatre Company proudly resides in the gorgeous Boston University Theatre (go Terriers!) and has recently won a Tony. Every show I’ve seen there has showcased beautiful sets, excellently-crafted costumes, and some incredibly talented actors. They mostly put on popular plays but also host operas and the occasional musical. The stage itself is gorgeous and has a lot of history.
Newport Beach, CA, United States : I love everything about this place... the vibe, loud music, pool table, monstrous nachos, and of course, their amazing HAPPY HOUR specials!
Cabo Cantina Newport Beach has the best happy hour. 2 for 1 drinks from 4-8pm, and late nights. Double the drinks, double the fun!! Yup, that means two coronas, two jacks with coke, or two margaritas with a double shot!
Actually, one thing I don't like is the restroom, but there are the beach restrooms (which are actually clean in Newport) right on the beach in front.
When you want to snack on something, get the nachos or quesadilla to share! It is located right on the boardwalk (at the Baloa Pier) so you can walk from the beach. There are sports playing on the tv's, which I can take or leave, but they have dancing at night and the windows are open to the beach outside. Tip: just down the boardwalk past the pier parking lot are a bunch of fire pits and on summer nights there are often bonfires with partys and you can meet the local surfer guys :
Pebble Beach, Del Monte Forest, California, United States : Woww!!!!! What a darling place. All of Carmel and pebble beach. The ocean view morning to evening from room at Inn at Spanish Bay Pebble Beach was gorgeous. I loved the room. There were a table and two chairs on the patio for us to drink coffee watching the sunrise. It was so romantic! It look superb when look outside from the terrace or balcony. This place is not so expensive, very affordable. The services are excellent and room services are also fast. Dinner was extremely delicious. The dishes are the best but the choices that are provided are awesome. I ordered the peanut butter and bacon encrusted filet. It was the best food that have ever eaten
The staff very nice highly knowledgeable and whenever you go there they always welcoming you with open heartily. The atmosphere is so cool and pleasant. If you go there it will be your desire to go there again and again. Very nice and unforgettable scene of sun set. I want to go there again and enjoy happy moments of life.
Boston, MA, United States : This woman was amazing, inspirational, and is a fantastic role model for women everywhere. Her life and her mansion turned Elizabeth Street Garner Museum are truly spectacular and incredibly interesting. She had a very strong eye for art work, collecting pieces from artists before they even became famous. Widowed only a few years into her marriage she travelled the world, much to the dismay of her family and friends, and earned a reputation as an outgoing and eccentric figure. Inside her mansion is an entire garden complete with a working stone waterfall. Her grounds also host even larger gardens and hedge sculptures. It’s one of my personal favorite places I’ve ever been.
Alisal Guest Ranch & Resort Solvang, CA : Girls at the Grill for girl grilling fun, a weekend stay at the Alisal Ranch & Resort with the BBQ Bootcamp package is a great choice for barbecue connoisseurs who want to cook and eat. The bootcamp offers grilling workshops, use of spices and rubs and a take home book for recipes. But barbecue isn't the only thing offered at the luxury western resort. There’s a beautiful spa with options such as a de-stress massage, margarita body scrub and oxygen facial. Breakfast is served with a horseback or hay ride, history and a delicious array of foods. But don’t leave without taking a stroll through the lush vineyard and sipping the vast variety of wines.
New York, NY, United States : I had my bridal shower here this past weekend, and it was UNREAL. I walked in and was totally blown away. The setting at Casellula Manhattan was absolutely perfect for a Parisian/French shower. Cute, classy, perfect size. We were a group of about 16 women and the restaurant accommodated us perfectly for a few apps and drinks prior to a wine and cheese tasting and a hearty lunch along with a game and presents. Seriously...so much amazing food. Faves were Pepedew peppers stuffed with mozz and wrapped in prosciutto, endive salad, pigs ass sandwich, Mac and cheese, and they even threw in some free dessert truffle bite nut things for free (amazing). Plus, the wine and cheese tasting had a ton of awesome cheese accompaniments as well. It was the PERFECT way to kick off my wedding season, and I will never forget the day. Thank you Casellula!!
Caesars Palace Drive, Las Vegas, NV, United States : Las Vegas Strip, Nevada- Celine Dion at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace is one of the best performers of her generation and is incomparable to any other show in Las Vegas. This show is a must-see when you come into town. Tickets are a bit pricey but there really is no bad seat within the venue. Even though it is total entertainment and there is dancing, choreography and the works, your eyes are fixated on this super star the entire time. I highly recommend this to anyone who knows what good music is. It is an absolute must-see! Everything from the set, to the costume changes to the barely any intermission, makes it the complete Celine Dion experience!
Las Vegas, NV, United States : As you've probably seen in the movie "Ocean's Eleven", Fountains at the Bellagio hotel puts on an amazing, fantasic fountain show every 30 minutes (Maybe it's every hour, I can't remember exactly). The show is featured with lights and music. That best part of this show is that it is free! If you want to get a good view, you can head to the observation deck at the Stratosphere Hotel or head inside to Olives for drinks and dinner so that you don't miss a moment of the show.
New Orleans, LA, United States : For shopping, dining or browsing in New orleans, no place beats Magazine Street Shopping. You’ll find 6 miles of antique stores, art galleries, craft shops and super cute boutiques. This place is amazing. There are so many cute and funky shops with the most awesome clothes! Be sure to check out Fluerty Girl for fun tops and Trashy Diva for funky clothes. There’s also an upscale clothing swap boutique. Great places to eat and drink as well.
3708 Las Vegas Boulevard South, Las Vegas, NV, United States : Las Vegas Strip, Nevada- I went to this with my boyfriend and two other girlfriends. At Marquee at the Cosmopolitan guys have to pay but us girls get in free. It just sucks because; you have to split up your party to get in if you have a guy with you. It was no problem though meeting up and find each other inside! Thank goodness for cell phones! We also got one free drink without tickets and it was not even that strong. Like do they water down the liquor here? Anyway, the dance floor was somewhat small and exceptionally crowded. Overall, the music had a good vibe, I danced the night away with my boyfriend and girlfriends, and ended up not getting too wasted because of the price and quality of the drinks, which was a good thing. I actually cannot believe I’m saying this but I can’t wait to go back again!
Jekyll Island, Glynn County, GA, United States : Dr Jekyll and Miss Hyde says there’s so much to do when visiting Georgia, but I have to say one of my most favorite experiences was the trip to Jekyll Island. For a few bucks my gal pals and I had a vacation within a vacation. I loved the private secluded beach and breezy trade winds. The island has access to so much one has no reason to leave outside of its pillared gates. Shopping, a historical museum rich in Georgian history, a water park that caters to adults too, kayaking; the fresh, clean air made me a bit adventurous, gorgeous mansions with tours and Fins for delicious seafood to fill our bellies. I decided to go back with my beau later in the same year and stay for the weekend. We took a charter boat for a romantic sunset ride. Perfect place for a proposal.
The Boulders in Scottsdale is a Waldorf Astoria hotel, but it's not at all like what you would expect. It is primarily a gorgeous golf resort with manicured greens and amazing views. But the spa is the reason I stay here. They drive you around in golf carts so I call and make an apt at the spa and then when I'm ready to go just call the front desk and they send over a driver to drive me through the beautiful grounds to the spa. You can spend all day at the spa and not ever want to leave. The views and the slow pace and the beauty of the grounds all make it peaceful and serene and you stay in a casita or villa so you sort of have your own place and you feel like you live there or wish that you did.
Williamsburg, VA, United States : After a day of getting your history groove on stop in and relax at the Spa of Colonial Williamsburg where the amenities and decor are stellar. Great place for getting the special attention one needs after a day of sightseeing. They improve the wellness of the mind as well as the body in an elegant setting. Making it the perfect place for a weekend getaway.
Myrtle Beach, SC, United States : On my special day, last June, I was taken by surprise with a trip to Medieval Times to celebrate my 30th birthday. We had a blast from the second we walked through the door! The staff and cast were all amazing, we adored the green knight and were glad to be in his section (even though he lost the battle). Our server was a sweetheart and made me feel special on my special day. The food at Medieval Times Dinner Tournament was well beyond expectations and the cast was very engaging during the show, but after the show they really relaxed and chatted with the audience. This was a lot of fun; again had a great time and plan to do this again.
Spago, Beverly Hills CA, USA : My boyfriend and I went here for date night and although it is super expensive, I have got to say, it was worth every penny. The whole experience from start to finish was just that an EXPERIENCE. We were comfortably seated, enjoyed some drinks, had dinner followed by desert and ultimately had an amazing night. It really was exactly what I was looking for/wanted for date night. The wait staff was attentive an exceptionally helpful. The staff really work hard there and made us feel like royalty. I would highly recommend Spago to any guys out there looking to impress their girls!
Sable at the Palomar in Chicago is a cool Americana, circa 1940's, bar at the Palomar Hotel. The atmosphere feels like you're in an old Hollywood movie or something. They take their drinks seriously at Sable. Their bartenders are mixologists and take pride in making the best drinks around. Ask for the "Board of Directors" which is no longer on the menu, but you can still order)
Leavenworth, WA, United States : Innsbrucker Inn is more than a bed & breakfast, it's more like a supersized bookstore for a slumber party in the middle of a Bavarian village. Each room is decorated with a special literary theme like the Shakespeare Suite, Wine Suite and Chocolate Suite; Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ring a bell. Rooms are stocked with books, but there is a television available in each room. The rooms are clean and include a coffee machine with supplies. The Chocolate Suite has a kitchenette and private bathroom with a shower and tub. The walls are decorated with phrases and characters from the movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory accompanied by the book.
Venice Beach, Los Angeles, CA, United States : On the weekend, my girlfriends and I often go to Venice beach. We can find everything from crazy street vendors to the coolest tattoos to skateboarders and cute guys! I highly recommend the skatepark and muscle beach (part of Venice beach) for cute guy watching depending on if punk or muscle is your type. Personally, I prefer punk. However, just walking up the boardwalk is cool too for people watching. My girls and I will usually share a pizza at Larry’s. My biggest tips are to bring cash, but be careful of pickpockters, they know this is a cash area so keep your money zipped up and not loose in your pocket or purse. Do not go at night, it is a bit dangerous then, and never take a CD from someone, just keep walking. Oh and of course, bring your camera and ENJOY!
A girlfriend of mine took the Original Farmers Market Tour (LA) Melting Pot Tours and gave it rave reviews. Artisan butchers, bakers, and candymakers. Her enthusiasm for this tour has made me put it on my list of must do’s.
You may see anything on this street! If you are into people watching, this is your place. Duval Street Key West is like a clean version of Bourbon St. in New Orleans. Lots of great boutique stores and amazing ocean inspired art galleries. Many restaurants bars and hotels. The street takes on a different vibe at night as the shops close and the bands crank up the music in the bars. Lots of fun day and night!
Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas, NV, United States : We spent my birthday here last year and we had a great time! Planet Hollywood Resort came through with flying colors in location, service, food, room cleanliness, amenities, and room view! I loved the large soaking tub in our room and the bed was absolutely comfortable. The Bellagio fountain view from our room was perfect. There are a few places to eat, like Earls and there is also a 24 hour Starbucks on site! Located right where all of the action is! Right smack dab in the heart of the strip, across the way from the gorgeous Bellagio lake and fountain show. There are no nightclubs in PH so the location is key. One of my favorite things about PH is it's also connected to the miracle mile shops- Shopping paradise!! The pool gets crowded but the music was good and the energy was incredible.
Frenchmen Street, New Orleans! This is where the locals go. Three blocks of clubs, restaurants, funky shops and live music at the far end of the French Quarter. Best music, best prices, and best original place left in New Orleans. Great open air art market by local artists on the weekends. Much of the businesses are closed during the day so check it out at night. Be careful, though and don’t wander away from the main drag.
New York, NY, United States : Le Cirque, amazing! If you love food, you'll love everything about this place. I came here with my friends and we had the four course tasting menu. If one person wants to get it, the whole table gets the tasting menu.
The whole place is implacable and elegant. The main dining room is circular which is very pretty. The branding of the plates, napkins, and overall decor was charismatic. The service was excellent.
We all had our own orders of veggies and when they plated our food, we were ready for an adventure. It was tremendously amazing. Every bite you take melted in your mouth. Extremely delicious and every bite was pure heaven and we didn't leave a single piece behind. Finally we wrapped that up and moved on to dessert.
In le Cirque, everything was great. The whole meal was amazing, from start to finish, and I am seriously still dreaming of this meal.
House of Blues Anaheim, Disneyland Drive, Anaheim, CA, United States : • House of Blues Anaheim is a concert hall. Yes you probably want to rather hear about a club or bar. But guess what, this has an amazing bar inside! Also, they always have really great performers, so if a dance artist plays here, it’s an instant club because it’s so packed! They also have food so it is like an all-in-one type of place! This is also located in the Disneyland shops so before you go here, get some shopping in! In my opinion, it’s like a girls paradise because it’s completely unexpected. I know it caught me by surprise and I absolutely love this place.
Las Vegas, NV, United States : The Bars at the Harrahs Hotel has an awesome collection of bars outside. Not only are the drinks cheap (on Vegas standards), the bartenders are full of 'flair', and will make sure you have an absolutley awesome time. When we went our bartenders were dancing with everyone and giving some shots on the house to the brave people who weren't afraid to show their moves to everyone at the bar!
Philadelphia, PA, United States : King of Prussia Mall is one of the most luxurious malls in the country! Last weekend I visited with my friends and we were surprised that there are more than 400 stores. This is without any doubt the best mall in the Philadelphia metro area. The mall does a nice job of mixing expensive retail stores and department with the more affordable shops. Recently somewhere I read that the Mall of America is larger in square area, but I think that in terms of retail space the King of Prussia mall is really the largest mall in America. In this mall you can find anything you're looking for.
The stores have such an unbelievable selection and I feel like I can't even walk through without buying something.
Keywest, Florida: Best breakfast on the island! Nothing tops sitting on the beach in an open air restaurant drinking mimosas and eating crab and shrimp omelets! The Caribbean vibe for lunch and dinner is awesome at Southernmost Beach Cafe Key West and the bartender makes a great mojito. Bring your beach bag and spend the afternoon because this is one of the only beaches on the key. Walk or ride a scooter/bike as there isn’t much parking. It’s also only 2 blocks from the Southernmost buoy but beware there is usually a line of tourists waiting to pose next to it.
Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas, NV, United States : OMG- Gucci, Tiffany&co, Fendi, Cartier, Dior, Salvatore Ferragamo and more more more!! Forum Shops at Caesars Palace is like you are in this cool indoor mall but there is a blue sky above you and statues that move and talk (for real!) and lots of energy. There are some really restaurants but the shopping is the main attraction
Las Vegas, NV, United States : The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is a fun resort. We met some friends and ended up staying at the Hard Rock with them this summer and it was a lot of fun. Great energy and a fun atmosphere, especially at the big center bar, that was a LOT of fun. The pool was crazy busy but fun. We went to Rehab pool party and that was insane! The tickets were really expensive (I think $30 for girls) but we met some guys that paid for us because they were staying at the hotel and I think they get a discount. There's a Pink Taco to grab food (we love this place in LA) and there is a place called Fu Asian that has yummy tapas (we also had Thai Basil lettuce wraps). The only thing I didn't like was the $8 cab fare to get to the strip, but otherwise a fun place!
Las Vegas, NV, United States : Rehab Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas is the part at a pool. Don't plan on swimming because the whole pool is full of people standing and drinking and dancing. There are always famous DJ's and celebs that stop by and the music is loud and pumping non-stop! Get a large drink cup because it is so busy getting a drink takes forever. It is expensive so if you can meet one of the promoters (you'll see them hanging around giving tickets to girls) that will save you serious money. We met some really cool guys that got us in. If you want to party at the pool Rehab has got it!
Dallas, TX, United States : The Galleria has an ice rink in the middle that reminds me so much of Rockefeller Plaza & the famous shops on 5th Avenue. It also hosts a giant Christmas tree like Rockefeller plaza does at Christmas time.
The Galleria Dallas Shopping becomes a gorgeous, festive inside shopping megamall during the holidays that you will certainly want to experience and be a part of, as well as any time of year!
The architecture of this place is stunning with the ice skaters, playfully, cheerfully, dancing round on the ice visible from the entrance of every shop on every level as it is its center. As indulgent as it is, it's also connected to the Westin Hotel & superb Oceanaire restaurant! This entrance also has valet parking. I can always find parking in the garage near Nordstrom's, and it is a great place to pass time. Some of the stores I love are Lush, Pottery Barn, Sephora, Nine West, Teavana, and the mini MAC cosmetics, which is part of Macy's.
Boston, MA, United States : You cannot say you’ve visited Boston without having gone Newbury Street Shopping in Boston. It’s the number one shopping destination of the city and caters to any-sized wallet. Starting near the Hynes Convention Center T Stop, shops for the more trendy and budget-conscious can find boutique shops, Urban Outfitters, Forever 21, funky record stores, and some classy second hand shops. At the other end the street (about a 25 minute walk total) you can find the higher end stores such as Nordstrom and fancy boutiques. Along the way you’ll find an excellent hodgepodge of stores, places to eat, coffee shops, and even some street artists selling their paintings.
Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas, NV, United States : Las Vegas Strip, Nevada- Treasure Island Hotel Casino used to be all about the kids with the big Pirate Show and kid-friendly toys. But now, it's grown up a bit and the resort has been remade to be more for adults. It fits into the strip much better now and plays to its audience, adults who want to have fun in an adult town. Inside is Mexico-favorite Senior Frogs and Kahunaville Party Bar, and Mystere is a world-class cirque du soleil show!
Miami Beach, FL, United States : The music and dancing is honestly the best part of Mango Tropical Cafe. You don't come here to sit around or peacefully enjoy a drink in the corner. Mango's break up the night with random performances that range from Michael Jackson dancing to Bachata and Samba. Most nights have a live band playing popular Latin songs that really get people up and dancing. The cover is not as big if you don't get a free pass from your hotel or a promoter (I think it is $10) and the drinks are not as pricey as LIV or Mansion ($12), plus it's more laid back and more of a party atmosphere than a club.
Berkeley, CA, United States : Mount Everest Restaurant Berkeley is by far my favorite Indian restaurants. My everyday favorite is their Herbal soup, which is the garlic soup with some veggies.
Must famous are the lamb vegetable samosas, vindaloo, and chicken tiki masala. It's up to you to choose how spicy you want your dish and i always ordered it medium to spicy. They did incredibly well with the seasoning and it was very tasty. The naan and sauce are really great and the piece size for the price is really good. The delivered faster than the ETA and food has always been good. The garlic naan are special item here, they are nice and buttery, this is my best indian place to get best and delicious food in Barkeley. The sitting arrangement inside the restaurant, are superb and awesome, amazingly for the location, and exterior manifestation. Inside the restaurant the tables and chair were so comfortable, nice location, extremely superb decor or art work on the wall, as well as the dim light with string lights hung around.
Las Vegas, NV, United States : My friends and I absolutley love B Sweet Candy Boutique and can't resist a craving when it comes. That's why this place was perfect. They have every possible candy to try, but it still isn't your ordinary candy store. You can even schedule a candy buffet, which we totally would have done if we knew before we went. You can have a 'candy' party and choose what candies you want everyone to try and eat for your special occasion, or just for fun! Don't miss out-GO!
Fairbanks, AK, United States : Alaska Coffee Shop is the kind of place I'd think about when I think of a tremendous coffee shop. I walk up to the place on a day when they're roasting and i smell the beans being roasted from the parking lot. The fresh roasted coffee is scrumptious and smooth and loved this place.
The quiche is very delicious. The baked goods look very yummy. The pot pies, veggie pockets, and shepherd's pie are all very appetizing and priced reasonably. .
The baked and sweat treats are startling. Is not a place for heavy lunch or dinner but the relish items are amazing. i loved the flat bread, just awesome. This place is a really wonderful break from the cold.
New Orleans, LA, United States : If you plan to spend the day shopping on Magazine St. (and you should) start your day at Surreys Café and Juice Bar. I highly recommend the crab omelet and the Banana Fosters French toast. This is the best breakfast I had during my trip. I have heard that the lunch is awesome, too. Be prepared to pay cash. No credit cards or checks accepted and there is no ATM nearby.
Branson Craft Mall Missouri is awesome! Over 200 booths full of interesting crafts and lots of personalized gifts. Watch the artists create baskets, pottery, signs, stain glass and all sorts of other crafts. They also offer a HUGE selection of jams, jellies, nuts, candies, salsa and fudge. We really enjoyed this mall.
Manhattan, New York, NY, United States : There's so much to see and do at American Museum of Natural History NYC. I went to 4 of the special exhibits AND watched the movie that was playing in the planetarium. It was my first time in the planetarium, but it was definitely cool. It was a moving about dark matter, which was ok. I would've preferred something about the constellations. I guess I'll just have to go back.
The exhibits I saw:
Butterfly Conservatory - if you've ever been in a butterfly house, this is what it is
The Power of Poison - learn about natural and manufactured poisons
Frogs: A Chorus of Colors - frogs...so many awesome frogs
Whales: Giants of the Deep - they're sooo big
I definitely want to go back before the season is over to check out the IMAX movie about Penguins and to check out Zuni world. I also need to hang out with the dinosaurs a big more...I love me some dinos.
Austin, Texas, United States : The Driskill Hotel in Austin is beautiful and interesting; historic art, amazing ballroom, etc, but it goes way beyond that. The staff is incredibly helpful and eager to please. They let us check in early, moved us from a queen bed to a king with no issue, and after a small problem with the billing, they even left us a tin of treats in our room with a handwritten note apologizing. They have a great bar, with delicious food (queso and bacon wrapped dates were our favorites) and drinks. The rooms are a great mix of historic and modern. They have framed pictures of the hotel back when it first opened and some cool old-time furniture, but they are also kept up to date with super comfortable beds, high quality bedding, etc. Some people say it's haunted, but that just adds to the charm. Marble floors and leather wingbacks in the lobby, fine local art in the hallways, silk sheets on the beds, heavily-draped curtains and a beautiful, ornate decor. And it's close to 6th St
Hawley, PA, United States : Woodloch Pines Resort is an experience waiting to happen. The grounds are well manicured in case you want grass between your toes. Staff is friendly and charismatic; very detailed with providing quality service. There is so much to do: art classes, food and wine classes, drum circle, horse riding and themed performances; you name it you can do it. The staff will go far and beyond to cater to whatever your desire may be. Food is beyond excellent and in abundance. By the time you go home you'll need a vacation from the vacation. This was a great place for our family reunion; the package price was very yielding for our budget.
Skip all the Fury kiosks and go with Sunset Water Sports Sunset Cruise. Their large catamaran has live calypso bands, 2 full bars, a dance floor and great seats to watch the sunset. The cruise we went on had more of a party crowd on board. The vibe was energetic, the bartender was great and the calypso band was a lot of fun. Oh, and the sunset was beautiful. We heard great things about the dinner cruise as well.
- i feel like every time i leave you a comment it's aalyws the same .because your work is consistently UH-MAZING! simply gorgeous. gorgeous girl, gorgeous lighting, gorgeous location. so in love with your style, mariola!
Dallas, TX, United States : As a music venue, Club Dada in Dallas is hard to beat. I'm not such a fan of the hefty cover, which can go as high as $15 on some nights, but I'm never sorry to have paid it once the music starts! Dada has been, and continues to be, the cornerstone of Deep Ellum, often hosting fund-raisers for the preservation of this historic neighborhood (no small task!). The smokey air is the typical Dallas bar variety but not nearly as bad as many. Fortunately, one can quickly grab a drink and take cover on the spacious back patio area. Over 3000 square feet of tables, twinkly lights, and local art. Occasionally, shows are staged outside. Who'd have thought fire-spinners in Dallas?! Also watch for fund-raising art shows and CD release parties. Only one womens bathroom, but other than that it's awesome!
Las Vegas, NV, United States : Las Vegas offers many Ladies Only Party Bus for special occasions. We were here for my friend's bacholerette party and chose a bus that provided acces to the Encore night club. The bus had everything from TV's to music and awesome lights! It was an awesome way to spend the night out celebrating
Golden Gate Bridge is beautiful and Iconic, without taking some pictures of this functional work of art, no trip to the city is complete. Taking a picture will do for some, but for the full experience, bring a jacket and go for a walk on the bridge. Stop, feel and watch the bridge move for a real experience. It is such a great feeling just to be on the bridge and to see the entire city. Here are so many areas that are excellent to take good pictures at. Either at the bottom or on the bridge but it's finest to go like half a mile away from the bridge at the bottom to take high-quality pictures.
The bridge is not only for the most photographed bridge in the globe, but also pretty functional. With daily tourists, commuters and locals alike, this bridge is strongly made for bike riding, jogging, walking, and running, at all times of the day.
The Abbey, Los Angeles CA, USA : The Abbey is the best gay bar I have ever been to! Also, this club is frequented by the Kardashians so not only is it a great bar, but you might also see some celebrities! The dancers are great though and it’s nearby a lot of other clubs and bars to make it an entire adventure. It’s right off the main strip of clubs in West Hollywood so its really easy to find. My favorite part about this is the outdoor dance and bar area, which you have to walk through to get inside. It’s also a great way to judge how many people are there.
TCL Chinese Theatre, Hollywood CA : Okay so, I know getting here and parking is a complete irritation, and almost not worth it but, I saw an IMAX movie here and it was an incredible experience. In addition, it is THE place to see movie. TCL Chinese Theatre itself was huge and had intricate decorations. It was a show stopping performance and a real movie experience from start to finish. It cost me $20 for my IMAX ticket and it was great. The sound was loud and it really brought you into what was happening in the movie. It is great thing to do when you want to see something special.
New York, NY, United States : In Le Bernardin i had a truly superb dinner during my recent visit to New York.
We go there for the chef's tasting menu with wine pairing. Each dish we tasted was perfectly prepared and I truly enjoyed every single one - a rarity for tasting menus. The langoustine was a standout in particular; the flavor of the truffles and the aged balsamic sauce was a wonderful combination. Most of the wine pairings were white wines as you'd expect for a seafood-oriented restaurant, but a few creative pairings, such as a Japanese sake with the king fish/caviar, worked surprisingly well and were an interesting and refreshing departure from traditional all-wine pairings. Service was impeccable, of course - polished and friendly yet neither overbearing nor overly stuffy.
Overall, it was an amazing dinner and I would even rank it higher than The French Laundry. While there were some courses at TFL that really stood out above the others, I felt that the overall experience at Le Bernardin was awesome.
We had heard about Bourbon Branch San Francisco Speakeasy from a friend who lives in San Francisco and she told us about how it was a speakeasy years ago during prohibition and you have to find it and have a password to get in and it all sounded mysterious so we had to check it out. You need to reserve a time slot (and I hear they are really strict about being there during your time), but once you get inside you can just feel the history! The drinks are amazing, they really spend time to make sure your drink is perfect. The menu has the best drinks and they even have house rules, like, "no cell-phones" and "no standing at the bar" and they don't allow photography. I guess they want it to stay mysterious and it looks like its working- definitely worth the experience!
Washington, DC, United States : “The Uptown” is the best place to see a movie in the Washington D.C area. It’s a great a movie theater, but a movie bastion featuring a single screen—a curved, 70-foot long and 40-foot high screen, one of the biggest area in it. The theater features a big terrace which is perfect for couples who want to creep upstairs and hold hands where age group have done the same.
This is one of the biggest theaters. The environment of this theater is fabulous.
Once you go AMC Loews Uptown, every other movie theater fails in assessment. But this AMC setting in Georgetown is much superior and platform much more movies of standard movies presenting, IMAX and 3D. Staff is nice; there are your regular popcorn and movie snacks and a yogurt bar. It's a good movie theater for dinner and a movie and many Georgetown restaurants, bars, or romantic stroll by the sea front.
There is a big parking area , where the charge per person.
Cape Cod, MA, United States : Cape Cod Restaurant Week is a celebration of the best fine dining around the area for one price. The seven day celebration boasts of bigger and better each year with a wide selection of restaurants and bars to choose from for your 3 or 4 course meal. Plan for the event, but stay for the local warmth. There is so much to take in from beaches to walking tours. Of course my favorite thing to do is shopping on Commercial Street. Charming boutique type shops line the street and this place seems to always have a huge party going on. Definitely worth every penny spent for good food and great finds. Start planning early for the Fall because hotels book fast.
West Village, Manhattan, NYC : I think I'm in love. Really it was meant to be - this bar combines so many of my favorite things: Hudson Street, good wine, a charmingly quirky staff, a warm atmosphere, brilliantly subtle decor - a stately oval bar, translucent leaf lampshades, wrought iron filigree - good food, it was a match made in heaven. Because Lelabar have such a wide selection of wine, cheese, meat, and small plates, just trust the bartender/chef to pick something out for you.
Get to know the bartenders! Chris, Heather, John, Naveen are all great.
I tried a sharp sheep's milk cheese, tasso ham and wild boar salami- awesome. Mixing it up wine-wise, I had a delicious sparkling rose.
Do yourself a favor and try their fresh, handmade CHOCOLATES. You'll never go back to your friends Ghiradelli or Godiva ever again. I dream about the cashew caramel turtle with sea salt!
The Freedom Trail Boston is the most popular tourist attraction/historical monument/scenic walk in town. It begins in the park and takes you to all the most interesting and significant monuments to American history. You get to see churches, graveyards, Paul Revere’s house, and many other cool stops. You can also opt to go with a costumed tour guide, to add a little amusement to the event.
So much fun! There’s a live band every night and the dance floor is packed when the cruise ships are in port. You’re likely to see bachelor and bachelorette parties, toga parties and even a guy in a banana suit on the dance floor of Sloppy Joes. Be sure to skip the food, it’s not worth it and you’ll probably have to wait a while at the bar for a drink. But the staff is great and the atmosphere is energetic! You can go to their website and check out the live web cam.
Boston, MA, United States : I’ve written many a term paper at this cool spot. Crema Café offers signature sandwich, the Crema Chicken, is to die for-it’s this mix of creamy, cheesy, corn and chicken-filled toasted piece of heaven. They make excellent sweet potato chips as well. They also offer some great artisan coffee and special lemonades mixed with fruit and herbs. Grab a good book and stay awhile. Bonus: Cute Harvard guys (and girls!) hang out here
Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas, NV, United States : Wynn Esplanade Shops is high end and fabulous!! Cartier, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Channel, Manolo Blahnik, Chloe, Hermes, Chopard, Oscar de la Renta, Givenchy, Alexander McQueen and tons more! There is even a Ferrari dealership!
Can't afford Derby tickets? All you need to do is check out Kentucky Derby Museum and watch the fascinating film. It's as if you are there in the middle of it all. The film gives you goose bumps as they take you through a Derby morning and you will leave fully educated on all things KY Derby. A great way to spend an afternoon.
Naples, FL, United States : Can’t wait for another trip to Naples Florida; fun, relaxing and full of things to do. There’s Lowdermilk Beach; white sand, great parking, clean restrooms and a café with monster, juicy burgers. Fifth Avenue South is a fantastic place for high end and boutique shopping and a lot of interesting artsy shops. One of my favorite things was Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens. We went to a live animal show that was very informative and fun. A boat tour of Monkey Island was a bit much; cute and all but I was still a bit afraid. Yet, I did take a chance at feeding a giraffe. Lastly, we ventured out to Celebration Community Beach Church where I was absolutely blown away. Talk about a praise service. It’s non-denominational so no judgmental views to contend with. Very casual and relaxed but the message was clear and concise. If this were my regular place of worship I’d miss a lot of Sunday football.
The Fordyce Bathhouse museum was opened a few years ago after extensive restoration of the former bathhouse. It is extremely interesting to see how things were during the gangster heydays of the early 1900’s. The luxury of the times is evident but many of the spa treatments and contraptions were extremely unusual and bizarre. Plan to spend at least an hour milling around this 4 story bathhouse.
