Pebble Beach, Del Monte Forest, California, United States : Woww!!!!! What a darling place. All of Carmel and pebble beach. The ocean view morning to evening from room at Inn at Spanish Bay Pebble Beach was gorgeous. I loved the room. There were a table and two chairs on the patio for us to drink coffee watching the sunrise. It was so romantic! It look superb when look outside from the terrace or balcony. This place is not so expensive, very affordable. The services are excellent and room services are also fast. Dinner was extremely delicious. The dishes are the best but the choices that are provided are awesome. I ordered the peanut butter and bacon encrusted filet. It was the best food that have ever eaten
The staff very nice highly knowledgeable and whenever you go there they always welcoming you with open heartily. The atmosphere is so cool and pleasant. If you go there it will be your desire to go there again and again. Very nice and unforgettable scene of sun set. I want to go there again and enjoy happy moments of life.
Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas, NV, United States : We spent my birthday here last year and we had a great time! Planet Hollywood Resort came through with flying colors in location, service, food, room cleanliness, amenities, and room view! I loved the large soaking tub in our room and the bed was absolutely comfortable. The Bellagio fountain view from our room was perfect. There are a few places to eat, like Earls and there is also a 24 hour Starbucks on site! Located right where all of the action is! Right smack dab in the heart of the strip, across the way from the gorgeous Bellagio lake and fountain show. There are no nightclubs in PH so the location is key. One of my favorite things about PH is it's also connected to the miracle mile shops- Shopping paradise!! The pool gets crowded but the music was good and the energy was incredible.
Newport Beach, CA, United States : Newport Beach has some of the best beaches in the world and the beaches are wide, which means you never feel too crowded, like on most beaches in the summertime. Go to the peninsula (which they call the "warzone" in the summertime because it gets so crazy and wild) and the first pier, Newport Pier, gets the wildest. They call it the "warzone" for a reason. But if you keep going down the peninsula to the Balboa Pier (about one mile further down the peninsula) it is still busy in the summer, but not nearly as wild and crowded. The beaches are all amazing and you can walk to the bay on the other side. Early mornings you'll see dolphins right by the shore, you can get Stand Up Paddleboards (SUP's) or get a canoe or surf or rent a duffy boat and cruise to music. There is Amazing shopping at Fashion Isdland and there are tons of great restaurants and bars right on the peninsula and you don't drive anywhere, you walk or ride bikes on the boardwalk. It is the PERFECT place for a Girls Trip!
Indiana Dunes is an amazing state park on Lake Michigan. Lots of activities from sunbathing, hiking biking, fishing and camping. There are also lots of accommodations and restaurants nearby if camping is not your thing. Overall, there is an activity for everyone here and it’s an excellent place to relax for the weekend.
Newport Beach, CA, United States : Right by the Mutt Lynchs Newport Beach Boardwalk is always busy, so come early if you want a seat. The best seats are up to the windows that open to the beach outside with people walking by on the boardwalk. Beer and wine only at Mutt's but they have a huge selection of beer and the food is good for a bar. But you come to Mutt's for the energy and atmosphere. On Wed (I think it's Wed) nights they have a group of runners who run on the beach and then have beer afterward. They meet at Mutts' and my girlfriends and I were there one night and joined in, they were totally cool about it and had a blast- just a chill crowd. Anybody who knows Newport has been drunk at Mutt's :)
All guests of The Lodge at Pebble Beach Golf Vacation, The Inn at Spanish Bay and Casa Palmero have access to Pebble Beach golf courses. You are required to stay 2 nights (3 during peak season) World Class golf is not the only reason to stay, Pebble Beach is a vacation in itself! There is shopping, dining, wine, golf, and you are right next to Monterey and Carmel, both amazing places with rich culture and a laid back atmospheres. We had a caddie (Dennis) carry our bags ($160 for two bags) and he was very knowledgeable about the course and offered some great tips on my swing. I cannot say enough about Pebble Beach, it is such an amazing vacation. Busy season is summer (May-August) but it's nice all year.
Las Vegas, NV, United States : As you've probably seen in the movie "Ocean's Eleven", Fountains at the Bellagio hotel puts on an amazing, fantasic fountain show every 30 minutes (Maybe it's every hour, I can't remember exactly). The show is featured with lights and music. That best part of this show is that it is free! If you want to get a good view, you can head to the observation deck at the Stratosphere Hotel or head inside to Olives for drinks and dinner so that you don't miss a moment of the show.
Jekyll Island, Glynn County, GA, United States : Dr Jekyll and Miss Hyde says there’s so much to do when visiting Georgia, but I have to say one of my most favorite experiences was the trip to Jekyll Island. For a few bucks my gal pals and I had a vacation within a vacation. I loved the private secluded beach and breezy trade winds. The island has access to so much one has no reason to leave outside of its pillared gates. Shopping, a historical museum rich in Georgian history, a water park that caters to adults too, kayaking; the fresh, clean air made me a bit adventurous, gorgeous mansions with tours and Fins for delicious seafood to fill our bellies. I decided to go back with my beau later in the same year and stay for the weekend. We took a charter boat for a romantic sunset ride. Perfect place for a proposal.
Naples, FL, United States : Can’t wait for another trip to Naples Florida; fun, relaxing and full of things to do. There’s Lowdermilk Beach; white sand, great parking, clean restrooms and a café with monster, juicy burgers. Fifth Avenue South is a fantastic place for high end and boutique shopping and a lot of interesting artsy shops. One of my favorite things was Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens. We went to a live animal show that was very informative and fun. A boat tour of Monkey Island was a bit much; cute and all but I was still a bit afraid. Yet, I did take a chance at feeding a giraffe. Lastly, we ventured out to Celebration Community Beach Church where I was absolutely blown away. Talk about a praise service. It’s non-denominational so no judgmental views to contend with. Very casual and relaxed but the message was clear and concise. If this were my regular place of worship I’d miss a lot of Sunday football.
Las Vegas, NV, United States : The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is a fun resort. We met some friends and ended up staying at the Hard Rock with them this summer and it was a lot of fun. Great energy and a fun atmosphere, especially at the big center bar, that was a LOT of fun. The pool was crazy busy but fun. We went to Rehab pool party and that was insane! The tickets were really expensive (I think $30 for girls) but we met some guys that paid for us because they were staying at the hotel and I think they get a discount. There's a Pink Taco to grab food (we love this place in LA) and there is a place called Fu Asian that has yummy tapas (we also had Thai Basil lettuce wraps). The only thing I didn't like was the $8 cab fare to get to the strip, but otherwise a fun place!
Mission Beach San Diego is close to downtown and is usually pretty busy. Belmont Park is a mini amusement park that's hit-or-miss depending on the day (some days there are a lot of 20 somethings and teens), but we love the rides- I suggest you hit the Giant Dipper (sit in the last seat!). The sun, the boardwalk, surfing, paddle boarding and shirtless guys make for a fun day. Then it's time to hit gaslamp :)
Coronado (San Diego), California : Hotel Coronado San Diego is one of the most beautiful resorts / beaches in the world! The spa was fabulous and the staff is incredibly friendly. We looked at the live-cam and booked out trip (http://hoteldel.com/live-webcam/). They accommodated four rooms side by side so our group could all be together and the rooms were just divine! Soft pillows and sheets and my room looked like it had never been stayed in before (So clean). Lovely resort, great memories
Las Vegas, NV, United States : The New York, New York Hotel and Casino is so much fun that we have stayed here four times. Some places are fancier but it's right on the strip and has a lot of good restaurants and the pool is always so much fun. BUt the main reason we love it here is it's a young crowd and there is a lot of energy all night long. After midnight if you don't want to go to a nightclub, this is where everybody comes to hang out. There's a dueling, sing-along piano bar and Coyote Ugly and the Center Bar, which is where we love to get drinks and meet people and people watch. And Pour24 bar is open 24/7. Our rooms are always clean and nice, no complaints. We usually travel in a large group (8-12 girls) and some hotels you never know what you are going to get, but we always like our rooms here.
Of all the pools I have been to in Vegas and Ive been to most of them this one at the MGM Pool in Las Vegas is seriously the best! There is not just one pool but several and each is different and has different people and music. Not even mentioning Wet Republic but thats more of a dance club at a pool. The winding river goes all the way around the pool area. The whole pool is huge! I think I saw three areas to get drinks or food and the waitresses come around so you can even order while you are in the water!
Lutsen, MN, United States : The Lutsen Resort on Lake Superior has a multitude of things to do for all personalities. The staff is beyond a doubt super friendly and accommodating especially when trying to find the right activities for a group. Sea kayaking, fishing and hiking are available activities for outdoorsy types. While crafts, movies and games in the game room are available for people more like me; not so interested in the great outdoors. Open the day to sunshine and sparkling water, end the night with music and bonfires. Spend the afternoon with a massage, soaking in the whirlpool and sipping champagne at the Waters Meet Center or taking a few laps in the indoor pool. Whatever you do, there's plenty for everyone.
Las Vegas, NV, United States : Rehab Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas is the part at a pool. Don't plan on swimming because the whole pool is full of people standing and drinking and dancing. There are always famous DJ's and celebs that stop by and the music is loud and pumping non-stop! Get a large drink cup because it is so busy getting a drink takes forever. It is expensive so if you can meet one of the promoters (you'll see them hanging around giving tickets to girls) that will save you serious money. We met some really cool guys that got us in. If you want to party at the pool Rehab has got it!
Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas, NV, United States : Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino is my favorite hotel in Vegas! The pool is STUNNING! I'm a 20-something professional woman and this is perfect for girls like us! It's modern, luxurious, hip and the crowd is gorgeous! No trashy white girls here. The gym had great equipment and a nice view of the Bellagio fountains. The hotel lobby is very upscale, modern and I especially love the pillars that they have with ever changing screens - I'm mesmerized by the pretty flashing lights and colors. I admired all of the glitz and glam spread throughout the hotel and casino. We stayed in the well appointed king terrace suite with a phenomenal view overlooking the strip. It was such an uber swanky room! Spacious with a great big suede blue couch and the bathroom was Amazing with soaking tub and stand up shower. I spent a lot of my time enjoying the breeze on the attached terrace. Guests can enter Marquee nightclub without waiting in line, and you must check out the Chandelier bar- just trust me and chec
We found the Embassy Suites Hotel Louisville to be a great hotel. The staff is very friendly, the rooms were clean and comfy, and we were pleased with the hotel's amenities (large suites, free hot breakfast, free cocktails, pool). The location is great and is convenient to 3 museums, Churchill Downs and downtown.
Myrtle Beach, SC, United States : If you believe there aren't any jewels left in the South, you're mistaken. Myrtle Beach has all the fun of being in a faraway paradise right here in the good old USA. I enjoyed the Dixie Stampede, a Dolly Parton dinner show, and all the wonderful gift shops. I purchased a ton of t-shirts to take back home for a reasonable price; the place is full of apparel vendors. The area's many fine dinning restaurants were always satisfying with excellent service. I'm going back next year! The international airport is only minutes away from a great time.
Palominos, Westwood CA, USA : I’m sure that this is a chain, but if you have not been here at Palominos, you should definitely try the Monday night happy hour! This is when you can get the best deals on their high priced wines. I would not suggest going in a big group unless you have a reservation, as this is a small place and might not be able to accommodate you. They also have a great Sunday brunch, which I highly recommend. If you do not know what to order, you can describe a taste you would like and the waiters are so knowledgeable that they can give you a list or even tastings.
Virginia Beach, VA, United States : Along the Viginia Beach coast you'll find the Belvedere Beach Resort, an older, but well maintained, hotel located right on the beach. The rooms are decorated nicely and have great views of the ocean- they feel beachy. The staff are the friendliest you'll find anywhere! They will go out of their way to get to know you and help with anything they possibly can. Room service is fast and not as outrageously priced as many. They even give you free bike rentals so you can see the area and all of its beauty. It is surrounded by other, taller hotels, but the Belvedere just has a cool charm about it. You can tell that the owners care about the area and encourage others to love it also.
Newport Beach, CA, United States : Resort at Pelican Hill Newport Coast is really amazing place! Stunning views! When i stayed there, everything was well arranged. The bed was very comfortable one I've ever slept in. The pillows and sheets were extremely soft. The fireplace, the tubs, everything is what you expect out of this level of hotel. There was large patio with a superb view of the ocean. The high beam and fireplace on ceiling truly give the room a bungalow experience.
Beautiful views and the golf course were epic and the pool was exceptional.
Its spa was absolutely luxurious and amazing. I've been to many spas and i can say without any doubt this one tops them all. Every consideration to detail had been made. I loved the decorations, aroma in the air, ambiance, water features, etc.
My masseuse was extremely tremendous too I take the Amber Gold Signature package with the scalp and in add-ons i take feet massage and the feet massage was just not more than 15 minutes. The add-on the scalp was totally worth it.
Las Vegas, NV, United States : If you love animals and zoos (and I do), you have to go see The Secret Garden Zoo at the Mirage Hotel. This where the famous Siegfried and Roy put on their famous shows for years. You can come see the awesome white tigers, white lions, black panthers, and other rare cats. The whole experience is less than $20 and you can get up real close to the animals. It also serves as a conservation center so you can learn about what they are doing to help these animals. Definitely worth a visit to get out of the sun-and you can take your time here, there is no rush. It was really cool to see while we were there!
Every year on Easter Sunday at 20th and Vermont you will find the "Bring your own big wheel race"- people dress up in costumes and race down the winding roads. This is definitely one of those "Only in San Francisco" things and it is so fun. We just watched, but we want to go back and be in the race!
Silver Palm Place, Jeffersonville, IN, United States : Awesome boutique hotel 3 blocks from Duval street. Silver Palms Inns is great because it’s new and affordable. Our room had a pocket door to separate the living area and the bedroom and it wasn’t a suite! It also had a little balcony overlooking the street. Everything felt clean and new. So nice! Great lounge chairs around the pool and they rent bikes, which is the best way to see the town.
I know a state park doesn’t sound like the best place to hang out but trust me on this one. The Keys are not known for their beaches. Fort Zachary Taylor State Park is the best little beach on Key West. Lay out on the sand or grab snorkel gear and check out the bright parrot fish right off the beach. So cool! There’s a little beach café that will do in a pinch. Oh, and there is a pretty cool fort if you’re interested in that!
If you don't have a sunglasses case, store your shades in one of those tube–shaped containers that Use Crystal Light as A Case for Sunglasses is sold in. The tubes are just the right size and rigid enough to protect the glasses. Plus, it's no great loss if you misplace one
Las Vegas, NV, United States : The Bellagio Hotel remains one of the most beautiful hotels on the strip, or anywhere for that matter. The fountains are world famous (and immortalized in the Oceans 11 movie) and the casino, hotel, rooms, restaurants, shows- all of it is just classy and beautiful. The best Cirque du Soleil show "O" is at the Bellagio.
Great French food at Rue De Jean Restaurant. Went for Sunday brunch and had a great experience. You must try the Duck Confi Hash. It’s the best in Charleston! Menu, wine selection and service are first class. You probably won’t need reservations. But if you decide in advance to go, it wouldn't hurt.
We have stayed at Cherry Tree quite a few times. The location of Cherry Tree Inn is great, right on the bay, beautiful views all year round. The rooms are always nice, the indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs are great! You can't beat the clean, beautiful beach. The hot breakfast and the 24 hour coffee and tea bar are awesome! No better place to stay.
Las Vegas, NV, United States : The Bathhouse at Mandalay Bay spa offers amazing features, including temperature-controlled pools, waterfalls, and even a gym. Come to work out and then relax in one of the exotic baths. It will make you feel like you're certainly not in Vegas anymore. If it is in your budget, you must come here just for the entire experience. We went for the spa and absolutley loved the baths-it was totally worth it!
My mother & I spent 3 wonderful days here. Everything was just fabulous: the room, spa amenities, food and staff. The Travaasa Experiential Resort Austin is calming and beautiful. If you want to relax, then this is the place. The infinity pool has to be the best view in Austin. Everything here is tranquil. You WILL leave feeling rejuvenated.
The W Austin Hotel is connected to the Austin City Limits Live and is right next to the Second Street District. Great location, luxurious hotel. The W has a monthly Living Room Live session with local musicians a lot of fun. (The living room is what they call their lobby.) The pool is awesome if the weather is good. The lounge and restaurant looked nice but why eat and drink at the hotel when you should be out on the town!
Keywest, Florida: Best breakfast on the island! Nothing tops sitting on the beach in an open air restaurant drinking mimosas and eating crab and shrimp omelets! The Caribbean vibe for lunch and dinner is awesome at Southernmost Beach Cafe Key West and the bartender makes a great mojito. Bring your beach bag and spend the afternoon because this is one of the only beaches on the key. Walk or ride a scooter/bike as there isn’t much parking. It’s also only 2 blocks from the Southernmost buoy but beware there is usually a line of tourists waiting to pose next to it.
House of Blues on the Sunset Strip, Los Angeles CA, USA : I went here with a bunch of friends to see a friend’s band; we ended up sitting on the balcony because we were there so early. Sitting up there are two options the $50 table, which we were able to afford and the $100 table that is lower to the ground and quite honestly a whole lot more comfortable. The food was good and it was a great place to watch some awesome live music. I am actually here quite often because they only book quality acts. I love music and sound at House of Blues Sunset Strip is perfect. Their audio person deserves a lot of praise, because they have mastered the fine art of live music. I am here all the time!
Napa, CA, United States : Auberge du Soleil Resort Restaurant is not only a five star hotel but with a five star staff and five star experience. No need to wait on a windfall to experience the grandeur of luxury, this hotel provides millionaire benefits in an affordable package. If you've never experienced a panoramic sunrise view of The Valley, please save the experience for the moment you wake up in the perfect serenity of a room at Auberge du Soleil. With several packages to choose from, the "Relaxation and Rejuvenation" is a favorite. Wine, massage, food fit for a queen and custom made bath and body products; a girls dream come true. The view overlooks gorgeous landscaping that stretches for miles and nearby towns. The handmade pistachio caramels melt in your mouth leaving the flavor of what I imagine happy to taste like.
Empire, MI, United States : Cottonwood Inn Mi is a charming retreat in the beautiful town of Holland, MI. We loved our stay here. The staff is so friendly and the breakfast was amazing!. It's the perfect place to relax, I feel so recharged. Holland offers plenty to do. We spent two days on the beach and enjoyed a day of shopping and didn't have enough time to stop at all the shops! The downtown is true Norman Rockwell-esque with lots of shops, boutiques, and eateries. We'd love to return to Cottonwood Inn again.
Las Vegas, NV, United States : Hecho en Vegas at the MGM hotel in Las Vegas is awesome Mexican food and margaritas. Hecho has the best taquitos and table-side guacamole anywhere in Vegas! If you are staying at the MGM it's right as you are walking to the pool. If you aren't staying at the MGM just follow the signs like you going to the pool and you'll see it.
Newport Beach, CA, United States : Rusty Pelican Newport Beach is a MUST stop when coming on a girls trip! It is right on the water, has delicious food, great drinks and bar, dancing some nights, and a great crowd (mostly 25-45) and always great energy! Everybody knows the Rusty Pelican (brunch here is very popular also) and people dock their boats and sit on the patio with a bloody mary and view of the bay.
I often here with my friends and family - we stroll to white sand, spread through the Del and just enjoy being in Coronado.
I love this family friendly and wonderful clean beach. Street parking is free alongside the beach. Plain pedestrian crossings to the steps. The waves are perfect for small kids (less underwater tow compared to La Jolla/Del Mar beaches) and it's got such a lovely happy vibe.
Lifeguards are always circulating and very welcoming. During the week I will bring that children, I look after and they constantly stopped to say hello. The view is amazing and you have the historic Hotel Del right on the beach. The waves are perfect for kids to learn to buggie board.
Coronado California beach is my favorite place in San Diego. It is perfect for fat women with insecurities, like me. Everyone around minds their own business and nobody come here to show off their steroid and cholesterol burning pill produced bodies.
Las Vegas, NV, United States : Las Vegas is known for its desert heat, and if you and your girls want to cool off and you aren't staying at a hotel with a great pool, or is you just like water parks, head to Wet N Wild Waterpark. They have awesome rides, including 'Bomb Bay' where a platform opens up underneath you and you plunge straight down. We went on a Tueday afternoon because we were meeting some guys, and it was way more fun than any of us though it would be. Why should the kids have all the fun. When in Vegas you can be a kid again and nobody knows :)
Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas, NV, United States : The Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood include 170 stores and 15 restaurants right on the strip! They even have "people movers" if your feet are hurting and the water fountain features water shooting up to 50 feet high with lighting effects, color-changing fog and music from a surround sound system. The fountain show plays every hour on the hour, from noon - 11 p.m. Shopping is diverse, including Tommy Bahama, BCBGMAXAZRIA, American Apparel, H&M, White House/Black Market, Sunglass Hut, Lucky, Bikini Bay, Gap. ROxy, Vegas Royalty and Victoria's Secret.
You have to get the girls together for Isle Style! Amazing eco friendly salon, spa and boutique! You can get it all here and a complimentary glass of champagne. I highly recommend a pedicure and private, outdoor, garden massage. And the boutique has the cutest boho sundresses. The atmosphere is tranquil and serene. Prices are surprisingly affordable. The wait staff is super sweet. We felt so pampered and luxurious. This place is perfect after a long day of shopping on Duval Street or sunbathing by the pool.
Venice Beach, Los Angeles, CA, United States : On the weekend, my girlfriends and I often go to Venice beach. We can find everything from crazy street vendors to the coolest tattoos to skateboarders and cute guys! I highly recommend the skatepark and muscle beach (part of Venice beach) for cute guy watching depending on if punk or muscle is your type. Personally, I prefer punk. However, just walking up the boardwalk is cool too for people watching. My girls and I will usually share a pizza at Larry’s. My biggest tips are to bring cash, but be careful of pickpockters, they know this is a cash area so keep your money zipped up and not loose in your pocket or purse. Do not go at night, it is a bit dangerous then, and never take a CD from someone, just keep walking. Oh and of course, bring your camera and ENJOY!
Longboat Key, FL, United States : Longboat Key Club on Longboat Key, just outside of Sarasota, is excellent. We stayed for three nights: 2 rooms with 2 double beds and balconies overlooking the ocean and dunes. We sat on the balcony each morning and had coffee and enjoyed the views, The beach service is awesome with free chairs, umbrellas, wi-fi and great drink service .Great beach getaway.
Newport Beach, CA, United States : My favorite Dive! Strong drinks. I mean STRONG!! Be sure to cab it. Some people don't make it home even on their bikes! Marty, Caleb and Gino are the best bartenders in town. And those Tastie Burgers! Yes, they make burgers there...Mmm Mmm Good! There is a photo booth that spit out two sets so you can keep one and give one to a friend or hang it on the wall (I have a couple on the wall).
Cassidys Newport Beach is right on Newport Blvd and two blocks from the beach.
The restrooms are horrible, but everything else about this place is perfect!
p.s. They have hooks under the bar for your purse. I give them a sixth star for that!
Las Vegas, NV, United States : Flamingo Hotel and Casino is one of the most recognizable hotels in the world, you can't miss the big, beautiful pink neon Flamingo sign. It's been remodeled since we were here last, and the pool is even better than it was (and it was already one of the best). The pool is so lush and green and they have a DJ now if you want to do the pool dance-club thing. Donnie and Marie were performing (I loved the show!!!) and they have an adult revue which I didn't see. I did not check out the spa but I heard from some girls at the pool that it is nice. Right in the middle of the strip in Vegas and Margaritaville for drinks- YES please!
Las Vegas, NV, United States : The pool at the Flamingo Hotel is one-of-a-kind. You can swim, and swim around real flamingos! And water slides! There is a memorial for Bugsy Segal (the mobster who made Vegas into the gambling, partying, hotspot it has become). If you want something a little more 'adult', head to the GO pool where you can enjoy drinks, a DJ, and party in poolside cabanas. We came here one day and stayed the whole time-swimming and taking drink breaks in between.
Sonoma, CA, United States : The Sunflower Cafe was filled with locals, so we knew we were in the right place. The food was excellent but you have to wait in line for a little bit to give your order. All of our sandwiches and salads were fabulous and fresh. The lemonade was good but they sell out quickly. Recommend sitting on the patio. They will bring your order when it is ready. Would go back again.
Austin, TX, United States : My mother & I spent 3 wonderful days here. Everything was just fabulous: the room, spa amenities, food and staff. The resort is calming and beautiful. If you want to relax, then Travaasa Experiential Resort Austin is the place. The infinity pool has to be the best view in Austin. Everything here is tranquil. You WILL leave feeling rejuvenated.
Top Bar, located on the roof of the La Concha Hotel is Key West’s best kept secret. Mallory Square gets all of the attention at sunset. Skip that massive crowd and head over to Top Bar for the most amazing views of Key West. Top Bar La Concha Hotel is THE best place to watch the sunset. Sip cocktails while you look out at the sun reflecting off the ocean for a few more minutes. But don’t stay too long. The bar closes at 9ish.
San Martin, CA, United States : Stunning place! Words cannot describe how beautifully designed the scenery is at this golf course resort CordeValle San Martin. Beyond doubt, our week was amazing and there felt like we were staying in the Garden of Eden. Small, quiet, amazing spa, all of the amenities you could want. Complimentary cookies, fruit, and water are given there. You can tremendously relax with some amazing hikes. Being at the pool felt like being at a resort in Hawaii. There is a lovely hike through the hills with gorgeous vistas (a little strenuous at noon, bring water!).
We had a super-relaxed, quiet, lovely weekend. I couldn't stop raving over how beautiful it was. With one night being the equivalent of a month of therapy, I'd say it's a good trade!
Very attentive staff and friendly service! The resort is gorgeous - perfect in every way. Our bungalow suite was amazing. I’ve stayed in quite a few upscale hotels and I have to say the bed and linens they have here made me feel like royalty.
Grand Traverse County, MI, United States : We had a truly enjoyable stay. Grand Traverse Resort and Spa was another new and beautiful part of our country for us to visit and we were surprised with the amount of activities (wineries, beach hikes) and historical sites to do, take in, and enjoy as well as a very relaxing stay at the resort, which is well laid out. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean, inviting, and spacious, allowing for conversation. Our room was roomy, comfortable and quiet. We will return to enjoy the area, hotel, and spa!
Quapaw Bath House is located on Bathhouse Row on the main drag in Downtown Hot Springs. It is open to the public and you do not need an appointment if you are just entering the bath. There are 4 pools of varying degrees. You are supposed to begin in the top pool, which is the coolest and slowly work your way down to the warmer pools. The warmest bath was too hot for us so we stayed in the middle bath. It was a very relaxing experience.
Ninethirty, Westwood CA, USA : Ninethirty restaurant is definitely Westwood’s best kept secret! It is inside the W hotel so a lot of people don’t realize it is there. They also have a backyard version where you can sit by the pool and drink, or even rent out one of the cabanas for unlimited bottle service. It is a five star restaurant but a good deal for the stuff they offer! Its also one of the best happy hours I've ever been to. Be sure to try their wines; sometimes they offer free tastings of $100 a glass wines! They also have a “reward” card for a discount!
Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas, NV, United States : Caesars Palace is the king of the hotel/casinos on the strip! Shania Twain and Celine Dion have their own shows here, the Forums Shops are like being in shopping heaven and the pool is incredible. Plus, the restaurants and the rooms are comfy and it's right in the middle of the strip. How can you not like this resort? And most people don't even realize that the best spa in Vegas is Qua at Caesars. They have Chakra balancing and every sort of treatment you can think of. I did the auro-soma color massage and it was so cool, it was a massage and the room changes colors and scents and puts you in this total state of mind, you have to try it...
Dallas, TX, United States : The Galleria has an ice rink in the middle that reminds me so much of Rockefeller Plaza & the famous shops on 5th Avenue. It also hosts a giant Christmas tree like Rockefeller plaza does at Christmas time.
The Galleria Dallas Shopping becomes a gorgeous, festive inside shopping megamall during the holidays that you will certainly want to experience and be a part of, as well as any time of year!
The architecture of this place is stunning with the ice skaters, playfully, cheerfully, dancing round on the ice visible from the entrance of every shop on every level as it is its center. As indulgent as it is, it's also connected to the Westin Hotel & superb Oceanaire restaurant! This entrance also has valet parking. I can always find parking in the garage near Nordstrom's, and it is a great place to pass time. Some of the stores I love are Lush, Pottery Barn, Sephora, Nine West, Teavana, and the mini MAC cosmetics, which is part of Macy's.
Clean Water Beach Florida is a great place. Sand is so soft and the shore is cleaned every morning. The boat docks are across the street and shops are very near as well. The snack food stand is tidy, prices are good and the people working the counter are also friendly.
Coming from the New England, this is a really gorgeous beach. Its clean the sand is white and soft and the water is beautiful blue color. If it’s a vacation or a busy time get here early to stake your claim.
The restroom is fairly clean. Technically not on the beach, there are a lot of shops and eateries on Mandalay Ave; which isn't all that far of a walk from the beach. The sunset/sunrise is to die for. It's just perfect, plain and simple. It's so beautiful picnic spot. Yes, it has beautiful white sand, warm tranquil water, and tons of tourists. But, if you want to play drunken beach volleyball, especially at night with a glow in the dark ball and florescent lights, I can't think of a better place to do it!
Manchester, VT, United States : Equinox Resort and Spa is one of the most beautiful places you will ever see in the fall with over 1,300 acres of the most beautiful hills and trees imaginable. You can go for a hike, ride horses, bike, kayak, fly-fish, play tennis, attend archery school or even attend the Off-Road Driving School where you drive a Land Rover through the hills. And Equinox’s Avanyu Spa, lap pool and fitness facilities are first-rate. And if you like to golf, Gleneagles Golf Course has been named to the "best in Vermont" list by both Golf Digest and Golfweek. Truly breathtaking- what better way to get centered than to reconnect with nature?
San Diego, California : GasLamp District San Diego is the center of San Diego nightlife. It's between Broadway and Harbor and between 4th and 6th Ave and you'll find a LOT of great bars, live music, restaurants, clubs, lounges and events. For Sushi hit Taka on 5th Ave and then head to Tipsy Crow between F&G streets to dance all night to great music (everything from 90's hip hop to top 40 and even some cool flip tracks). Any given night there will be live music so you might just head in when you hear your flavor. There are several hotels downtown but if you want a cool timeless hotel with old-school charm but new appointments, you'll love the US Grant. And don't forget to hit the beaches to get your tan on!!
My friends and I always bring our own towels to lay across our lounge chairs when we go to a beach resort, to a hotel with a pool, or on a cruise. Because most of the other guests use the white towels supplied by the resort, our chairs are easy to spot, hence you can use same technique to Spot Your Beach Chairs. We use the resort's towels to dry off if we go into the water.
Hotel Le Marais is a chic boutique hotel in the heart of the New Orleans French Quarter. Depending on when you go, it is affordable. However, when hotel prices start to increase this one skyrockets quickly. So, book way ahead. The hotel is clean, quiet and centrally located. The pool is beautiful, the bar is great and the continental breakfast is good. No restaurant on site but there are so many great ones nearby.
Pack Light Pack Right Don’t get “bagged” down with a load of clothes you may or may not wear while on vacation. Go for simple pieces that combine for fashionable fun without the weight. Swimming or not, anywhere there’s sun and water pack a bathing suit. Add a sarong and you’re ready for beach nightlife. Forget the cliché’ “little black dress”, you’re on vacation not going to a funeral. A simple dress can easily go from day to night with accessories and shoes. Add bottoms such as: jeans, shorts or capris and a few tops; wardrobe complete.
Napa, CA, United States : Carneros Inn Napa Valley has Impeccable services, charming cottage beautiful ground, worth seeing the best view of sun set and sun rise. It’s a resort of comfortable, relaxing and classy establishment. We spent our weekend with two other couples or friends who have never been to Napa. We did the whole nine yard, sunset cocktail, dinner at farm sunrise breakfast, spa day before wine tasting.
Hotel is cozy, small cottage, well laid out ground, 2 nice pool and great views. Services and restaurant food are good too. The cottage offer luxury accommodation with private and discreet outside court yard, equipped with gas heating outside shower and bathtub. Beds are divine and decorated with fabulous linen and comfily pillows.
Amazing place, I loved to stay there. So much fun that we come back later whenever we supposed to stay somewhere else then home. We loved the privacy and the spa was amazing. The pool is very serene and elegant.
Santa Monica Pier, Santa Monica, CA, United States : I have got preface this by saying I never go to the beach, but when I got to The Santa Monica Pier, I wonder why I never go. This is because; it is such an incredible place to go. The Ocean Water off the pier is absolutely beautiful, there are great dining options on the boardwalk and the amusement park is such fun. Not to mention, during summer they have free concerts, which are always fantastic. I would highly recommend you check out The Santa Monica Pier if you visit Los Angeles, I almost enjoy it more than Venice Beach on the Weekend with my girlfriends.
Newport Beach, CA, United States : I love everything about this place... the vibe, loud music, pool table, monstrous nachos, and of course, their amazing HAPPY HOUR specials!
Cabo Cantina Newport Beach has the best happy hour. 2 for 1 drinks from 4-8pm, and late nights. Double the drinks, double the fun!! Yup, that means two coronas, two jacks with coke, or two margaritas with a double shot!
Actually, one thing I don't like is the restroom, but there are the beach restrooms (which are actually clean in Newport) right on the beach in front.
When you want to snack on something, get the nachos or quesadilla to share! It is located right on the boardwalk (at the Baloa Pier) so you can walk from the beach. There are sports playing on the tv's, which I can take or leave, but they have dancing at night and the windows are open to the beach outside. Tip: just down the boardwalk past the pier parking lot are a bunch of fire pits and on summer nights there are often bonfires with partys and you can meet the local surfer guys :
Las Vegas Strip, Las Vegas, NV, United States : SO much fun! Club XS in Las Vegas is packed and the music is pumping and you can dance all night and keep going. It's expensive for drinks so bring your credit or meet a hottie to take you like we did (you can "grease" the bouncer to let you skip the line). The pool has an area to take your shoes off and dance in the water!! We didn't see any celebs but we hear there are always celebs there like the girl from the Bachelor or Paris Hilton or whoever. Dress up and dance!!
Cape Cod, MA, United States : Cape Cod Restaurant Week is a celebration of the best fine dining around the area for one price. The seven day celebration boasts of bigger and better each year with a wide selection of restaurants and bars to choose from for your 3 or 4 course meal. Plan for the event, but stay for the local warmth. There is so much to take in from beaches to walking tours. Of course my favorite thing to do is shopping on Commercial Street. Charming boutique type shops line the street and this place seems to always have a huge party going on. Definitely worth every penny spent for good food and great finds. Start planning early for the Fall because hotels book fast.
Myrtle Beach, SC, United States : Room of Landmark Resort has everything to make you feel at home. On site you will find a small store, laundry and a nice casual restaurant. A pool side snack shack and bar is always great. There are about 17 pools here. Service was friendly and efficient, as always. There is a parking garage across the street with a covered walkway crossing the street. They have a lively and helpful staff.
Skip all the Fury kiosks and go with Sunset Water Sports Sunset Cruise. Their large catamaran has live calypso bands, 2 full bars, a dance floor and great seats to watch the sunset. The cruise we went on had more of a party crowd on board. The vibe was energetic, the bartender was great and the calypso band was a lot of fun. Oh, and the sunset was beautiful. We heard great things about the dinner cruise as well.
- i feel like every time i leave you a comment it's aalyws the same .because your work is consistently UH-MAZING! simply gorgeous. gorgeous girl, gorgeous lighting, gorgeous location. so in love with your style, mariola!
San Francisco, CA, United States : Ice Cream Bar San Francisco is like walking into an old 50's soda shop. They have malts and floats and the most amazing ice creams! I had the Hot Brownie Sundae w/Vanilla and Banana Puddin ice cream and it was so good! My friend Tiffi had the caramelized honey ice cream with marshmallow fluff topping- OMG! You feel like you are in the Back to the Future movie the way the staff (they call themselves "Jerks", like "soda jerks" dress and the atmosphere, it's all retro. Love love love this place!
Miami Beach, FL, United States : LIV Nightclub in Miami Beach is an ultra-hot nightclub in Miami Beach that is even tougher to get into than the others. The place is huge with 3 floors and massive sound and light systems. It opens at midnight and the line is impossible so get there "early", like 11 or 11:30 and either talk to a promoter on the street or talk to the guys in line to have someone pay your way in. Drinks are $16 and they add 20% gratuity. If you are a large group of ladies and you get there really early and are dressed hot the bouncers (who are all rude and douchey, like every other Miami club) will give you a free table- SO WORTH IT!! You'll almost always see celebrities there and if you stay at the Fontainebleau hotel (where LIV is located in) it helps. Bathrooms are actually better than I expected and they didn't have lines (wow!). Go big or go home!
You may see anything on this street! If you are into people watching, this is your place. Duval Street Key West is like a clean version of Bourbon St. in New Orleans. Lots of great boutique stores and amazing ocean inspired art galleries. Many restaurants bars and hotels. The street takes on a different vibe at night as the shops close and the bands crank up the music in the bars. Lots of fun day and night!
